@Voltzap Read the comments or description. So, you go to options, then Advanced, enable developer console, press the ~ key (Next to 1), go into a level, open up the console, enter sv_cheats 1, then enter impulse 101. When you run out of ammo, type impulse 101 again. I found it when I was messing around with console commands.

the reason this happend is because HL2 and portal both use sourse engine and the sourse engine have those weapons built in but you are not able to get them without doing that

@NorwegianStudio Go to the options menu, go to the control configuration and click on "advanced" options. Make sure that the "enable developer console" box is ticked, apply those options and then press the "tilde" key (to the left of the number 1). I'll put it in the description from now on.

@5454bighead but portal uses hl2 stuff (like weapons, and props, and sounds) and uses the exact same source engine. So technically Portal IS Half-life 2 with out the HEV suit, the weapons, and the enemies

A good point. I thought that only the turret's fire would be programmed to fire through. But, the RPG works through portals too, and the crossbow too (though the bolt fired seems to slow down) and they don't fire bullets.

The weapons cheat is "Impulse 101". And the walking through walls cheat is "noclip". But you will have to enable cheats with "sv_cheats 1"

does the cheat only work on "The Orange Box" or can it work on just plain "Portal"?

Well, as long as you can enable the console (which with the PC you can), you can do this in any version. Possibly even the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions (though I don't know)

Oh, and there's also a way to play through HL2 with the portal gun. I forget how, though. Google is your friend.
