@demonstrike666 Ahh I have had this problem when I tried refitting a new shell casing on the psp heh problem is I never found the solution but if you take out the screw you should be able to take off the faceplate and examine the joystick and see if anything is in between it like dust or maybe something is screwing around near the joystick padding area, good luck.

@JeanPierreRamos yes a psp 1001 pandora battery will work on a 2000 but you must have an early made psp 2000 model with a specific mother board.

@JeanPierreRamos i origionally had a 1000 and i upgraded to a 2000, you have to hold it in place because the battery is too large for the battery case and then you can switch back to normal. buy the battery only, and make a magic memory stick.

uhm ye it shud thers no difference really its just that i think they named them like that to seperate them like the orignal is 1000 then like bundle a would b 1001 and bundleb would be 1002 and i think they go up to either 1004 or 1006 but they r essentialy the same psp,, same motherboard etc.. plus i think they had like a 1003 psp or w.e was no different then 1000 BUT it had an already updated firmware so yu didnt have to update when yu bought it,, so yu could use it right away > no updating

See, I researched the crap out of psp's before I decided to get a 1001 model. I want to be able to play all games for free. Like psp, snes, nes, sega genesis, and so on. I have never hacked before and I don't know where to even start lol. Also will i be able to store my games and stuff on the 16gb magic memory stick i ordered?

yep you sure can store that stuff on a 16gb stick and you can hack when ever you want but you might need a pandoras battery and a special memory stick with the right files to hack the psp
