@Huntercashy I think he did way better than the original, in which the singer was mumbling the whole time. At least with David Cook's version, I could actually hear the notes being sung. Simple Mind's version is so muddled and sloppy with the instrumentals and the computer generated 'echoes' of the singer's voice that I can hardly hear the guy's voice. I dunno, to me I think David Cook's version is much cleaner and real. A song doesn't have to be the original version for it to be good.
