@ashninan91 If your Inverter works with 96% efficiency its will be around 3.5-4A from 12V DC Battery.

why you use a bipolar transistor??? use some FET or MOSFET!
and yeah :bigger freq more efficiency!

Nice, pretty much same as previous test. What does make that loud buzzing sound? The transformer (which it should be) or the lamps?

The buzzing sound is the Transformer. The 555 IC is switching the Transistor and transistor is switching the transformer on High Freq.
