  • Feel good video but the truth is there are a lot of false christians out there. So there is also a yearning for true Christians to disassociate themselves from false christians. But people who are against Jesus often don't want to see a difference. So we are stuck with the Millstone of false Christianity around our necks, dragging us down. But we must go on and persevere. My suggestion to true Christians out there. Keep to the scriptures and try to encourage one on one discussion.

  • When I first saw the name of this video I thought I was going to be disgusted by the use of labels. But i was wrong. This video gives a wonderful statement that the makers of the Jesus Follower Vs. Christian need to hear. A Christian is a Christ follower and vice versa. It's not about the labels it's about who loves God. I am glad that someone has finally given a coherent reasoning of why these labels are ridiculous and are merely separating the body of Christ.

  • I think its more like Christian vs nonpracticing Christian. The real christians follow Jesus commandments, interact with the world the way Jesus wants us to, does God's will, and from our deeds we bare good fruit. nonpracticing christians show up at church on sundays and the rest of the week they do whatever they feel like and live in the sinful world rather than in Christ.

  • I am not a christian or christ follower or any of the sort. I did think it was an interesting video and also agree the point has been missed. Wasn't it more about the way they actually present themselves and go about their practice? Not necessarily at all about the name, that's just a way of describing their difference of representing themselves... right? Like the bumper stickers and gold crosses etc etc vs just practicing the teachings without a show of it? Either way, I'm still an atheist.

  • We Christians can find the silliest things to argue about.

  • Correct. Labels aren't the point. Jesus knows if you're following him, regardless of what you call yourself. The point of the 'Christ Follower' movement is that it describes what a person does, it doesn't label them.

To follow Christ is to embody his teachings. I see Buddhists doing this far better than many Christians. Christ and God are bigger than the words humans give them. We can accept and follow that which we call Christ even if we give it another name. That is salvation IMHO.

  • I still do not want to be labelled a christian, the meaning is so broad even I'm not sure what it entails anymore. Pure and simple I am a child of God and that is defined by my relation with Him. I have no problems with people who chose to be called Christian, its just knowing it's origin, I see it as overcomplicating things.

  • Thank you! A Christian is a Christ Follower thumbs up for this

  • Christian at the time of Christ's Life and after His death meant that one was Christ-like... in more than than the majority of claiming christians in 2011 it is more like... Yeah, I like Christ.... most claiming christians in America (at least)... if they died today according to the Truth of the Word would not be with Christ in eternity... So stop worrying about what you call yourself and stop selling Christ out... and start selling out for Christ

  • @LaralRalar LOL, did you have Caps Lock on or something?

  • 2 Corinthians 5:21

    Galatians 3:10-14

    Atonement

    See ya!

  • ed!" but He didn't because He knew He was right and that this was His purpose for coming to earth. He is not a Lier. Now, if He were a lunatic, wouldn't He try to escape the crucifixion an go crazy? He didn't. And he could comprehend His own complex and confusing parables! Duh. He is not a lunatic. Which leaves only one explanation. Jesus is Lord.

  • Aight, listen. For evolutionists up in here: how can evolution be reliable I it's been around for like a century and a half and how can Christianity and God NOT be reliable if it's been around for....hmm...a few thousand years? Like CS Lewis said in one of his books(not Narnia) "Jesus was either a Lier, Lunatic, or Lord" see, If He were a Lier, then wouldn't He realize that His lie went too far when He was sentenced to crucifixion...I think he'd be like "Woah! Okay okay don't crucify me!! I lie

  • I completely agree. All that's necessary is to have a relationship with Jesus, and live that daily, regardless of our denominations. We each were called by God for different things and to reach different kinds of people, but it's all for His glory and Honor. Living for Him, letting Him be not only our Savior but also our lord an king, our best friend. He loves us, and His name glorified is all that matters.

  • @MMang86 Yes i do and it is pretty sad that you dont.

  • @amluerxray7 There is NO scientific evidence that we evolved! There are only theories and ideas and that's a fact. The only evidence we have proves the Bible to be true, but evolutionists keep coming up with theories trying to disprove it.. I say, keep at it.. you'll die trying... and then what???

  • @mdleidyjr Wow obviously another ignorant christian who wont open their eyes and look at the Real facts because they are afraid. Dont just listen to ther creationist try to disprove evolution because they will usually be wrong about their facts. listen to Richard Dawkins

  • @mdleidyjr That's the most retarded thing I've ever read.

  • @mdleidyjr Then there will be cake.

  • Yes! Let's fight amongst ourselves and forget all about the "lost and dying."

  • @amluerxray7 What scientific evidence would that be?

  • Christian means Little Christ but many forget that. We need to lay down our Religion and do what God says and be as Christ. Following his example and living our lives for him.

Mark Driscoll from mars hill church talks alot about that.

  • @amluerxray7 Evolution is the "thumbprint" of the living God. I believe in God because I see evidence of him in his creation. Peace

  • @amluerxray7 Both can't exist?

  • II Corinthians 4:6 May the light shine on you both. Jesus Taught us to Love one another. All Labels customs and diffrent kinds of people. They are to be loved like our neighbor. Hence, May the light Shine on you both.

  • II Corinthians 4:6 May the light shine on you both.

  • Sometimes labels are good....

For example I would label the person who put this video together a "Gimp"

  • this parody isnt about the label Christ follower. This video is to show what a true Christian is. not someone who tries ti show their Christianity but someone who does.

  • Nope, means little christ. But yes, it is generalizing.

  • this is stupid n offensive

  • want to point out that none of us are better than the uptight "Christian" character. We have all met people like him at church. They try so hard to be acceptable. They are just acting in ways that are consistent with what they have learned in Churchianity. They are just as forgiven as those who are more Christ centered. I hate how Churchianity has created so many christian zombies but I know they are no less forgiven and I am not better than them in the eyes of God.

  • @whiskeyfoxpix you are very right ! thanks for sharing

  • This is no different than working in the world and it's shifting fads. Terminology develops a stigma so we change it and then the old comes on board with the new and we have to change it again. We often spend more time talking then we do "living". The statement in here that is derogatory toward Christians is an all inclusive unfair judgement. I would rather love the Word, live the Word and speak the Word and let the Word be a witness as I am one with it. Pastor K.

  • Only dropping the superstitious bullshit will give Christians a "better image". Follow Jesus' message for sure - but if you start believing in miracles, prayer, and that evolution is only a theory... you go from being an intelligent Christian to a douche-bag.

  • Christian or Christ follower? How about human being?

Peace and love for ALL people...

  • 0:28 "don't blame us all for just a few people's failures." That'd be a handy excuse if it were true. This religion and all its inhabitants deserve the FAIL stamp.

  • This is how I see the difference between "Christian" and "Follower of Jesus":

Christian: Interpretation of the perfect words of Jesus, leads to dogma, which leads to doctrine, which distracts the faithful from the pure teachings of Jesus.

Christ Follower: Believes in Jesus and his words only and Our Father in Heaven who sent him. Simple. Powerful. Everything else is embellishment.

  • Very good point...thanks for posting!

  • since when has youtube turned into a place where we debate what we believe in??!!im a christian but idk!

  • I agree that Christ follower and christian are the same thing, doesn't mean either are correct though.

  • hahaha! That was good. i just said that on one of their vids. Nice job. We are all Christians if we follow Christ, no need to label.

  • what more evidence do you need....

    WAKE UP

    Christianity is a FABRICATION

  • hmmmm.....that sounds more like it ive been seenig these videos alot lately and its nice to see that somebodys got it right.

  • Good video. I truly believe God is non denomination and sticking to one term to explain you obey Christ and have a relationship with God is just creating new rules, like the pharisees did. The Crusades were accomplished by those who called themselves Christians, yet didn't obey Christ. Just calling yourself a Christian, or Christ follower doesn't make you one unless you have salvation and a relationship with God, one on one.

  • Interesting video...but I think you missed the point of the original videos.

There were people like the "Christian" character mentioned in the bible. They were called pharisees. Jesus didn't mince His words when talking to or about them.

I've met some too. They wouldn't let me in a Church with my jeans on...till they found out I was the childrens worker!

There's a difference between a Christian and a "Christian". The man in the suit here is the latter. Christian by name not by nature!

  • I could just as easily say the same about the Christ follower vs. the "Christ follower." I've known a few "Christ followers" who expressed abject hostility toward other members of the Body of Christ just because they didn't abandon the word "Christian." Calling oneself a Christian does not make him a Christian, and calling oneself a Christ follower does not make him a Christ follower. We need to stop treating each other as the enemy and focus on Christ.

  • Nah this video isn't telling us to abandon the term "Christian". It's simply telling us not to become like the pharisees were. Watch the videos again and you will see a lot of paralells being drawn. The video is simply making the point that it is what is on the inside that counts. There needs to be two names simply because this is a parody of the mac ads. Does this help you understand?

  • I think that is the point trying to be made by the vids. If we're Christian on the outside (aka suit, tie, bumper stickers...) but not the inside, then something's wrong. We need to be Christian all the way through; being one on the outside gives some credence to the popular complaint that "all" Christians are hypocritical.

  • @mrman88 Then go to a contemporary church. If you live near Omaha, NE, Christ Community Church is a great place to go if you're a traditional or a contemporary worshiper.

  • @tkdrocker806 You're missing the point. The original video isn't calling a contemporary follower a "Christ Follower" and the traditional guy a "Christian". I know many many tradtional followers who could call themselves either. The video was making the distinction as "Christian" being the "holier than thou" type who had not truely accepted Jesus into their lives. Much like the pharasees were talked about in the bible. A lot of them were good..but Jesus was talking about the corrupt ones.

  • @mrman88 I am so surprised and honestly bewildered by this thought that there is some kind of difference between a "Christian" and a "Christ-Follower." It's so insane. Praise God that Christians have always been called Christians since Antioch (Acts 11:26). We can also go by "disciples" or "followers of Christ" or "children of God." The label doesn't have anything to do with the person. I think if someone is afraid of the Christian label, maybe they should examine themselves (2 Cor 13:5).

  • @curbsquerl It's not the names that these videos are addressing, it's the attitudes towards the Lord that they are talking about. You seem to be missing the point altogether. You nailed it on the head with the last statement though. "Christian" in this video is the "Christian by name not by nature" sort of Christian. Sadly there are many people in high up positions in the Church who fall into this category. The bible tells us to address these issues. Don't critisise those who have...okay?

  • Christ Follower means Christian

  • @missingjim But Christian doesn't mean Christ Follower

  • @gabyhanna It does to me....The Apostles were first called Christians in Acts 11:26 they followed Jesus Christ... I follow Jesus Christ..He is my Lord and Saviour... I am a believer... I am born again of the Spirit... I am made new... I am therefore a Christian... I know that a lot people out there use the word 'Christian' loosely ... but I don't... Christian = Christ Follower... Christ Follower = Christian..:)

  • @missingjim Actually Christ Follower means little christian. the word originated with enemies of the early church.

The early followers of Christ referred to themselves as followers of the way.

Christian was only used by enemies but somehow caught on!

  • There's a point to be made, here. People who call themselves Christians tend to forget the bigger picture - reaching out to others for Christ in a way that does not hinder their road unnecessarily. A Christ-follower, on the other hand, keeps his (or her) goal of imitating Christ and trying to reach more people for Him so that some may go to heaven someday.

  • This is just the same overgeneralization that I stressed in this video. I know several people calling themselves "Christ-followers" who also miss the big picture and treat other Christians as the enemy, thus dividing the Body of Christ (See 1 Corinthians 1:10-17). Consider this: if someone calling himself a Christian is not imitating Christ and following Him, then by definition, he is not a Christian in the first place.

  • I get your point, by "christ followers' demeaning "christians" they are actually doing the same thing that they are preaching against. But by pointing out the flaws in the video instead of realizing the point of them, aren't you portraying the strict, critical, rule base "christian they are talking about? Its not saying the term christian is bad, just that trying to live by law and not grace is not a christian.

  • @AniLaminara I am a Christian and that is not my perspective at all. "Christ Followers" are Christians who just think they are better than Christians so they give themselves a different name. But do you realize by labeling yourself differently, you are rejecting people that God love by saying that you are better than them? That is not following Christ at all. Don't focus on our labels focus on what we're all about. Christians make mistakes. By human nature we sin.But we love Jesus just the same.

  • Thank you!

  • Thanks for clearing that up. :) (good video)

  • Man was created in Gods image so therefore we should follow the teachings of Christ. Because Christ was God in the flesh, so to follow Jesus is to follow God! I was saved at 16 and Jesus really whopped me with his presence. Ever since then there is no one that could ever convince me that he is not real and here with us in spirit. I also think..............soon to be here in the flesh???

  • I go to this church and that video was awesome

  • LOL Christians can't even get along with each other! Shows how hypocritical they are towards one another!

  • Ah, sadly you (the video creator) and many of the viewers on here have failed to see the real importance in the original "Christian vs Christ Follower" videos.

Its not about label, its about actions. They are trying to differentiate themselves from the negative Christian stereotypes and show people that you can be a Christ follower(Christian) w/o being fanatical and overzealous. There was a reason why they used "Christ Follower" as the new label, you guys seem to have missed that reason.

  • Comment removed

  • @elcuellorojo Why do you think they used the slogan "Christian No More" at the end of each of their videos?

  • To be honest, I can't really give much of an opinion on that last part of each video because I don't know what context its used it. That title seems to be used as the overall slogan from the series and that the details about that slogan are left out of the videos and were probably included in the sermons and the actual functions of the church. That last little slogan seems to be contradictory to the message of the videos but in order to analyze it we'd need to know the full context of it.

  • All of this christian vs christ follower stuff is just another way for demons to cause confusion amongst believers and would be believers. Don't get caught up in all the hype. Posted by one of the many son's of God! It's not about religion it's about relationship people and always will be.

  • @membdrshipcollegepro How do you define "religion"? If we call Christianity a religion, does that mean we aren't thinking of it as a relationship?

  • Christianity isn't religion my friend. Religion is man working his way to reach God. Religion says " ...you have to go to church on Sunday to be saved!" or "...you have to pay tithes to be right with God!" Better yet "...give to the poor and you'll be right with God." Eph-2:8 Man is saved by grace through faith and that not of yourselves it is the gift of God! Also see Hosea 6:6 I desire mercy not sacrifice." says the Lord.

  • Thanks for your thoughts, my friend. What are your thoughts on James 1:26-27?

  • And I agree with you that Christianity isn't about "going tochurho Sunday to be saved." Nor is it "you have to pay tithes to be right with God." Giving to the poor doesn't make one right with God either. But I'm not sure where the Bible uses the word "religion" as synonymous with legalism.

  • My keyboard isn't working well. I meant to "tochurcho" is meant to be "to church on" in my previous post---sorry about that. :-)

  • @cbcurtis85 Thank you on your throughts my friend what are they on 2 Kings 2 22;24

  • It's a story about Elisha cursing a group of boys for taunting him and saying, "Go up, you baldhead, go up."

See biblical scholar Iain Provan's commentary on 1 and 2 Kings for some insightful discussion on this passage.

  • /win

  • THANK YOU!!!

  • Epic win. A video corrective like this had to be made. :-)

  • hello im a human my name is Dusty.

  • I'm an atheist...

But I agree with this video.

    5 stars!

  • yep, Christian = Christ like i.e follower of Christ (messiah/ guide; healer)

the humbleness and repentance (reexamination) are appreciated and endearing

  • Very good put !

May Jesus Christ bless you, whoever you are.

    JEZUSTUBE †♥†

  • Yep, were all imperfect humans that act like children.... just the way God planned it. hehe

    Peace :)

  • I love how the point of the video is "don't get all caught up in semantics. It's the message that matters, not the name. Now just start being Christian again, and we'll be fine."

Awesome. If the label didn't matter, this video wouldn't exist, because you wouldn't have felt the need to explain the label doesn't matter.

In other words (and this is a common Christian tenant): "It's okay to do, or believe whatever you choose, so long as it's the same things I choose to do, or believe."

    Amen.

  • Completely agree with this video. GODSPEED.

  • I'm glad you caught on, I was getting really tired of Christian vs. Christ follower. And to be completely frank, modest dress and staying away from the carnal idea's of this world ie. music, tv and radio. is not a bad idea, it's what the early Christians actually believed and practiced.

  • I was in the Christian Union at University, about 20 years ago. We had a fanatic passion for calling ourselves 'Christians'

, rather than Protestants or Baptists or Catholics or whatever denomination we'd been born into.

At that time it was radical, it was new, it was challenging and shocking to call yourself simply a 'Christian'. And now that's seen as 'fuddy-duddy'.

God knows the foolish ways of man!

  • good idea behind this video, but sound is set WAY too high, and the pages move faster than can be read.

  • THANK YOU!

  • THANK YOU :)

  • Do you people ever tire of this dreadful song? I heard it (over and over and over again) at a youth rally when I was in elementary school. This and some horrible, truly terrible Carman song that for some reason they wanted us to hear a thousand times. I swear there were subliminal messages.

  • Speaking as someone who'd never heard it before, i quite liked the tune.

  • i think both vids are right

  • i agree mostly but I do think that the name Christian has such a negative connotation that I would rather be called a follow of Christ. You see, Christian may have originally meant "follower of Christ", but now it has many ideas/stereotypes attached to it... follower of Christ on the other hand is straight forward and has nothing attached to it. Hope that makes sense... just my opinion

  • Comment removed

  • It's just a massive semantic game. To an atheist like me, any person who claims to follow the teachings of Jesus, and believes Jesus to be God, is a Christian.

Christianity is a religious belief, like many others in the world. It's as simple as that.

  • I agree, though it seems to be important to the religious set which gang they belong to...I guess it's like 'colours' for street hoods.

They'll off themselves like street gangs too, I figure...I mean...anybody who follows the Bible, Qu'Ran or Talmud word for word will end up in jail anyway...what with all the stealing, raping and murdering.

  • I'm glad someone finally pointed this out.

  • My last comment, couldn't help speaking about such a great topic ^__^

I want to give a positive comments about the series. I want to say that I do see the series good intentions. If I were to say what it's purpose was, it's to challenge Christians to live the life of Christianity apart from the traditions. GREAT! But just as Jesus was mocked because of the false "saviors" before him, so will we Christians! But he did not disclaim the title that was given him! I say neither can we. y/n?

  • However: There is something to be said about labels (which can change) and definition (which do not change, unless the subject becomes something all together different). What defines a Christian//Christ follower? I love that this vid touches just briefly on that... If you know Jesus and follow what he says, you will quickly learn that theres a distinction between Christians//Christ followers and all other world ideologies // religions. Would've loved to see these vids series cover that!

  • Thank you. The church is the body of Christ. The right arm looks like the left but its a little different isn't it? The series of videos that this vid is challenging do nothing for the body except divide it. I sat back, and watched the comments of people on the web... and even from those on the outside looking in can see a disturbing fued. The body of Christ is not divided, but one in spirit, mind and heart... under one Head, Jesus Christ.

  • Point well made....and well taken..good job

  • You said exactly what I've been trying to get accross! Thank you! Romans 16:17-18 "...I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of nai"ve people.

  • Gad dude the person on the left (the person with the suit) is a CATHOLIC, Catholics acts like that. The person on the right is a Christian, Christ follower, Christian no difference really

  • it's the connotation 'christian' has that has caused the change to 'christ follower'. 'Christian' has lost some value as a word because so many 'christians' don't have a relationship with God and are really just putting on that churchy image. Not to say that this applies to everyone of course. i personally just say I am in a relationship with God. He is my friend, my saviour, my lover, and my refuge. :)

  • someday, historians will look back on christianity like we look back on myths of old and assume we were in fact smart enough to not believe these fairytales.

  • True dat, home skillet! Yay!

  • askkopp should read the book of Job, which is probably the oldest book in the Bible. In it, you'll find reference to the world being round.

  • Very good! Thanks, psappington82. =)

  • omg... God is evil. when will ppl understand that.

  • omg = Oh My God. You make no sense.

  • I love people who understands irony

  • I love people who understands irony.

Btw, who told you what god i was refering to?

  • Seeing as there is only one God, you are clearly a retard.

  • No there are lots of Gods, Odin for example are one of them, Thor is another.

Then there is the god of inhumanity called Jehovah.

The only one who is retard is the one who says that there only is one God, only one divine spirit.

I guess that you never heard of anything else then Christianity, one of the religions that killed most people in history.

    Do your homework.

  • I mean these is only one real God. I'm not talking about fictional gods.

Clearly, being a christian, I only believe in one God. So in my mind, there is only one God. Just because there is more than one religion, doesnt mean there is more than one CORRECT religion, or more than one god.

  • You do understand that your God is made up to keep people from doing stupid stuff and to make them hate people that are different?

And I hope you know that your church told people that earth was flat. I think that speaks for it self when it comes to sanity of Christians.

  • When it comes to the "correct" religion I hope that you see that a religion that's says "DON'T KILL OTHER PEOPLE!!" and the followers of this religion goes out in the world and start slaying other people just because they don't believe in the son of god is a really bad religion.

  • Or ignorance of athiests.

  • I'm not atheists, I'm an Laveysatanist.

  • Oh, dear. No, no, no, no, no! If YOU knew history, you would know that NO ONE in the Western World believed the Earth was flat since about the 300s BC. The myth of the Middle Age people believing in a flat Earth only entered the public realm after Washington Irving wrote his book on Columbus, which he threw in to make his journey more impressive, rising above the 'idiot' people of Europe. It's a Romanticism thing.

  • some christians do hate differance, but real christians have compassion, Personally, I do not hang out with christians a lot, most of my friends are either agnostic or atheist. But I still hang out with them. If i talk to them about God and I see they do not want to hear, I just change topic. Christians are not here to bring hatred in the world but the opposite.

  • agreed

  • to say ur religion is right & all others are wrong is just..ignorant.

  • No, its logical. Religions all contradict each other, there can be no more than one historically correct religion. To say there is more than one right religion makes no sense.

  • awesome video

  • i hate christians.

  • Hi there! Who told you that out of curiosity?

  • Are you doing this just for the attention or is there some thought behind that idea? Why exactly do you hate Christians?

  • I don't hate them. I just see it as such a disappointment that so many potentially intellectual people can follow something which doesn't advance the knowledge of mankind. If we all belived in Reason, our understanding of everything would go MUCH quicker, and we could extend the human races extinction much much longer.

  • IN fact, a lot of scientists are christian, I do believe that we need science in this world we live, but we also need God.

  • Christian actually means "little Christ."

  • There is a bigger issue here. The term "Christ follower" has been cleverly hijacked by New Agers to mean you can believe whatever you want and still "follow Christ", seeing Him as a good, moral teacher. WRONG. A Buddhist could "follow Christ" insofar as agreeing with what He taught, and yet not acknowledge Him as God nor ever accept Him as Savior, and be eternally lost in sin, doomed to hell. Let's be clear---there is ONE and ONLY ONE way to God---through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

  • Amen!!!! the living God shall descend upon a cloud !!!! and the harvest will be collected.

But i hope you are not saying all this and on sunday going to a church where you pray to Mary and the Apostles.=)

  • Hahaha hey by the way I'm Catholic. We pray to Mary and the SAINTS some of whom are Apostles, for their intercession through Christ Jesus. We do not worship them. We believe in one God the Father Almighty the maker of Heaven and Earth. We believe in Jesus Christ his only son our Lord. I believe in the Trinity and God is the only one I worship. But good on ya for not taking the time to understand. Well done.

  • Oh well a brotha could hope to find Christians right?=)

but i guess you should make a video that say " im a Mary follower " or " i dont do what the Bible says "

or " i dont care for the fact that making contact with dead people is a deadly sin " or for example " WHY should i pray to my Lord Jesus when i could pray to mortals like Mary and Peter lol "

  • u pwn that catholic!

  • And please have the decency not to make me into a basher or Evil guy....what im trying to say is....READ THE BIBLE! im tired of ya'll telling me to understand....my heart is aching for ya'll...i pray for ya'll.

to the Living GOD JESUS not to his physical door way to earth Mary....because she has no POWER! only he has the POWER.

  • There is too much evidence that the Bible doesn't accurately describe the beginning of the Universe, therefore it cannot be trusted in other aspects. It's very good at a moral standpoint, but the Bible is taken literally by too many people, and that is what keeps smart people from reaching their potential as scientists advancing the world's understanding of the universe and the cosmos. Read Einstein's biography, you'll understand.

  • Einstein actually believed in god, so you comment makes no sense.

  • It makes perfect sense. Einstein believed in God but he was not a bibical literallist. Is that so hard to get?

  • Amen.

  • I totally agree with this video!

  • Both series have their strengths. I was just reading today something Anthony Norris Groves is quoted as having said: "Talk of loving me while I agree with them! Give me men that will love me when I differ from them and contradict them: those will be the men to build up a true Church." Amen.

  • Thank you for this video

    God bless the uploader.

We are called to be united in one Spirit, for we are all under one God(unless the god you worship is not really God.)

let's just stop the bashing, labeling, and pointing fingers.

we may have different views, but then again; we have to strengten each other in prayer and love to which we are called.

  • If you think the point of those videos was to give Christianity a "new look" or label, you've severely missed the point of the videos.

  • Actually, I believe the point behind those videos goes beyond new looks and labels. The message that the videos conveys to me is that somehow Christians and Christ Followers are somehow different. And it's not just these videos. I have talked with many people who believe that concept. I had a friend in college who talked of one worship leader by saying, "He's a Christian, not a follower of Christ." That's absurd. If he's not following Christ, then he's not a Christian.

  • Part 2

The word "Christian" first appears when the followers of the Way were described so in Antioch in Acts 11:26. Now, some people I've talked with believe that the word was designed as a derogatory label (similar to "Jesus freak" of the '60s and '70s). But there is no evidence to support this claim. "Christian" in Greek means "to be like Christ" which fit quite well with these early disciples.

  • Part 3

I also find the arguement "Jesus was not a Christian" a little silly. True, Jesus was a Jew, and I prefer to call him Yeshua (his Hebrew name), but to claim that he was not a Christian doesn't prove that Christians are not Christ-like. By definition, one cannot be a Christian without being Christ-like. That's a self-contradictory idea.

  • lame.. your missing the point

  • religion is for people who dont wanna blame themselves, pussies afraid of death, emos that cant establish themselves socially, fairy-tale lovers, and so many more negative statuses. these arent rarities in the religion and MOST people have no trouble being a good person while following, however, if that person had self-discipline instead of fearing to be good, s/he wouldnt have to be a follower. all followers fit 1 of the above 4 mentioned examples

  • religion is in fact dumb. what god wants is a relationship with his creation not some meaningless rituals.

  • I am not afraid of death, so does many Christians

I can establish my self socially, so does many Christians,

I can and will blame myself for bad actions I have, so does MOST christians

You comment has no point, I hate to disagree with people but I had to this time. Also Christianity is not about religion and looks, it is about a personal relation with God.

and I like fairy tales, humanity isn't perfect :P

  • Ja, apparently we have an envious one that do not support criticizes it.

  • this is stupid as fuck

hate you, just because people put informTION IN MY MIND

you people don't get it do you?

    lol

what ever its just that kinda shit that pisses me off

i mean i can see the origanal as offencive, but the whole "put on a good example" thing, what are you trying to say about the laid back worshiper?

  • The point that I was trying to make (which everyone else seems to have no trouble getting) is that people are getting too caught up in labels. The laid-back worshiper represents many young people who naively generalize all people calling themselves Christians as putting on a good image and misrepresenting Jesus and His teachings. Such people refuse to call themselves Christians because they naively think that they can avoid the negative baggage that came from centuries of abuse.

  • Thank you so much for doing this video! I'm using these videos and the Mac-PC videos in my high school church group to talk about the dangers of labeling. This video does my teaching for me! Well done!

  • Praise be to God! I'm delighted to know that this message is resonating with so many people out there. May God richly bless you indeed!

  • Thank you!

  • Great video, thanks for making this I really enjoyed it.
