They make them glittery like that because Urban Decay eyeshadows were made specifically for performances, like cheerleading or stage makeup. The glitter reflects the overhead lights and makes the makeup more noticeable.

to prevent the all over glitter. Force brush into shadow several times. Tap. Tap. Tap. Use a hard(er) short bristle brush. I use Bare Minerals only! I had this problem and quit using it until my make up artist showed me this trick. IT MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE. I PROMISE. i just found the wonders of a shadow primer. HEAVEN! it increases the colors and it stays put. I live in Texas and my allergies kill me. I rub my eyes constantly. Now it stays on. LOVE IT!!!

my delux pallet was $48 U.S dolars and it has 16- 20 colors primer posion and 2 brushes like (real) brushes not those puffy white things... i love it

If you don't like the glitter that falls down you can use Visine, mix it with the shadow and it stops from it falling. OR you can you the Eye Shadow Transforming Potion from Urban. It was made to turn shadows into eyeliner but it has another end that is used to give shadow the "wet" look. But I use it to stop the glitter fall out. hope that helps! :)

I just got done recreating this look! I used a lot of colors from the Coastal Scents 88 palette. If anyone wants to recreate this look, there are alot of really similar colors in the Coastal Scents 88 palette. You just really have to play around and see which colors match. The results were amazing and looked exactly like xteener's. You all should give it a try. It's a great color combination. THANKS FOR THE AWESOME TUTORIAL, XTEEENER! =]

I also hate glitter! It gets everywhere, and it looks like something a little kid would think is "sexy". You should pick up the new Book of Shadows palette from Sephora. It has two good detail brushes and 16 colors, only about four of which have glitter. More than half of the colors are great for everyday wear, and the others are wearable fun ones. I don't wear a lot of party makeup and I love it! It's a bargain with all those colors.
