I think that Mr Evens, more than implying that Earth orbit is immutable, rather claims that Earth MUST have been "designed" to account for the fact that it supports life so well. It is easy to see that this argument breaks down when one considers the anthropic principle which, as I understand it, is meant to raise our consciousness to the fact that: "if Earth was not fine-tuned for life, we would not be here to wander at it".

Most people don't know that it's the earth's axial tilt that causes seasons, not i's distance variations. Another nice example of planets (or protoplanets) colliding is the impact hypothesis which is currently accepted explanation of the existence of our moon as a result of early earth colliding with a mars-sized body.

That is a sad fact. But even worse, there was a poll taken of Americans. Roughly half did not know that the Earth revolves around the sun in one year.

This is a very educational video, but you need to understand that a Muslim albino can't be enlightened. He believes that the Qur'an is a science book the same way Christians believe that Genesis is a geology, evolutionary biology, and astronomy book. It is not that they lack the facts. They simply don't want or care to acknowledge them. You can't "convert" them out of their irrational beliefs. They need to find the light by themselves.
