Actually, I just did a google search on "Tree Faces," and there appears to be a thriving Tree Face industry. Check out Yardiac or The Tree Faces Store.

This is interesting. I guess I should not be surprised that there is a "tree face industry." Seeing an online tree face discount service seems to take some of the mystery away. Still, why did they choose this face?
