my problem isnt not knowing what i want, its being able to do it. i want to be free to learn and explore my many creative endeavors eg. painting, photography, music ect. but i have to work 5 out of 7 days to live, and i'm not interested in networking, or to compete with other artists. i just want to make art and share it, which i do, but it doesn't make me money. see thats the thing i'm not interested in money, or business, just freedom to do as i wish every day. how do i get true FREEDOM ?

Also, like you said, be careful what you wish for...I got the band mates I wanted, they could play up a storm, and where great players...committed, and creative. However...they where asshole, had no room for anyone elses opinion, style, input. So I guess If I keep working at it, I'll one day find the right band mates to start a band that I can be proud of and happy to be in right?

I think all humans want is to be happy by the end of their life, various questions ive asked myself how, why, when. It will come. We spent around 20% of our life educating ourselves so employers can compare us, is it worth it ??? We look around for the beautiful women, but depp down we all know we should be looking for the women with the better personality. Momo, This week I am going to put myself in the job market after intense contemplation and introspection. At this point of my life I know what I want to be in the next five years from now. I figured I cannot plan my entire life as having a versatile personality with adaptability and limited options I cannot predict long term. But five year planning is a good start. I am creating a resume loaded with my strong points and achievements.
I have hit my quarter life crisis. I was a smart engineer, a good musician and a great leader but invested most of my mid 20s to a relationship. This relationship for me was like a lifetime project where I put in every bit of I have ever had. However I failed to realize that it takes two for a relationship project and it ended in a disaster with her passing away. I will never believe that God punishes any of us. If an answered prayer is painful, it's because there has not been enough clarity about what we want. Sometimes it's the "reason" you want something that makes getting it painful. However, in getting it a much valued lesson is learned so nothing is lost. It serves us to examine our reasons when deciding what we want.
Props TO MOMO and his ROCKERLOSPHY (rocker philosophy), I love how it is almost religious, without feeling like he's standing on a sopebox (like organized religion so often is) and talking AT us.
I agree, I think it was just an example of realizing what he wanted. The material objects were a means to an end. As a digital creative individual I realize that these are tools, and while they are material, they are your paintbrushes, and paint to create in a digital world. They aren't material as so much as they are necessary.

How inconsistent is that. First he preaches about a bunch of the things we "think we want" being material, and then by the end of the video he's promoting material and how it made him "the happiest man alive" [sic]. I especially like how he veers off on a complete tangent: "There are many ways to finding out what you want. One of them is writing your wishes on a piece of paper." That's the only one he ever lists, and he completely strays off the original point.
Watch it again, but without your critical glasses on and really pay attention, he says a LOT more than that. This is not in your typical classroom format, you have to pay attention and listen.
We tend to measure happiness as material things. how much money, or toys, or luxuries we have. His happiness was as he said, "having freedome". You weren't paying attention

I think your right but what is absolutley crucial is that you keep stepping up your goals and not going over the same stuff. a lot of people like me just keep going over the same stuff because it feels comfy.... Got keep increasing your levels once you have decided what you want to do.

Ive applied to Med school once and got rejected! My ego was shattered, and I gave up everything I enjoyed as a punishment for that failure. I got sick of being a douche and I decided to upgrade my marks and reapply! If I do get rejected again, I am going to apply again...and again.....and again

Momo, This week I am going to put myself in the job market after intense contemplation and introspection. At this point of my life I know what I want to be in the next five years from now. I figured I cannot plan my entire life as having a versatile personality with adaptability and limited options I cannot predict long term. But five year planning is a good start. I am creating a resume loaded with my strong points and achievements.

I have hit my quarter life crisis. I was a smart engineer, a good musician and a great leader but invested most of my mid 20s to a relationship. This relationship for me was like a lifetime project where I put in every bit of I have ever had. However I failed to realize that it takes two for a relationship project and it ended in a disaster with her passing away. Its been about 18 months since then and I have haven't seen those moments of pure confidence until I found you on youtube.

I have the best mom in the world and she taught me about sacrifice on this one when i look back.Today i have done and still do the same things she taught me that day.Her sacrifice went a long way and helped me become who i am today,and she would do it all over again and now that im not a kid any more i could pass it on. peace out

I will never believe that God punishes any of us. If an answered prayer is painful, it's because there has not been enough clarity about what we want. Sometimes it's the "reason" you want something that makes getting it painful. However, in getting it a much valued lesson is learned so nothing is lost. It serves us to examine our reasons when deciding what we want.

I agree, I think it was just an example of realizing what he wanted. The material objects were a means to an end. As a digital creative individual I realize that these are tools, and while they are material, they are your paintbrushes, and paint to create in a digital world. They aren't material as so much as they are necessary.

Dude, I've been waiting on a job to come through for me that will take me back to China. I have visualized, prayed, held positive thoughts and the job just keeps getting pushed out. Any suggestions? I've been very blessed in my work. I have no degrees or certifications and yet I've managed to work my way into managing factories for Global Fortune 200 companies. I had thought of a dream and then my sis arranged for me to get sectioned!!I diidn't wish for that and because I had been incarcerated before it was a simple task for her to interfere and get me sectioned! Back in the mid eighties I really really wanted the world to become a better place without all the greed and waste and mountains of rubbish. Obviously I had loads of minds working against my wish.
So I started a recycling centre with two friends and we donated all the profits to charity. It later grew into the largest rural recycling company in the country. D'you think it helped at all, or should I have wanted something selfishly for myself, like a new guitar maybe?

Fortunately in later videos, he finds focus and direction ~ this is confused and uncontrolled. Identify the times when you were truly deep-down happy. Identify what you were doing. Establish a link. Pursue this... happiness can follow. Forget the desire for the MAC etc... What he has failed to realise is that it's not these things that make him happy. It's the process of getting them. He doesn't love the finished product, he loves the process

How inconsistent is that. First he preaches about a bunch of the things we "think we want" being material, and then by the end of the video he's promoting material and how it made him "the happiest man alive" [sic]. I especially like how he veers off on a complete tangent: "There are many ways to finding out what you want. One of them is writing your wishes on a piece of paper." That's the only one he ever lists, and he completely strays off the original point.
