If we really investigate all the scriptures, we can find that the use of image/ statue in the worship of God is allowed, even God himself who "ordered" the use of it. Catholics use it as one tool of the people to better appreciate the proximity to Jesus Christ. It became very clear that Catholics worship only God the one and the same, and equally opposed to idol worship Consider this: If at home we put pictures of our families, why we should not put the images of God that we care about?
