by the way...the Delmore Brothers called it BIG RIVER BLUES....

Actually, it's an old Delmore Brothers song....Alton Delmore ( ) and Rabon Delmore . One played a regular guitar and the other played a tenor, 4 string, guitar on Deep River Blues. They taught my Dad...when he was a teenager...to play this song and Brown's Ferry Blues, and he played in one of their live shows with them.
