Hey Paul, if I remember correctly this game doesn't have a special defense category. Instead the defense category counts for both normal and special attacks, so I'm pretty sure those special boosts are useless for your pidgey. Hope that helps, and sorry if I am mistaken.

You wouldn't get into trouble if you did because Nintendo don't even sue the people who distribute them as they don't make any money from those games in particular anymore but I didn't tell you to.
