Donnie2020 You have totally missed the point. Certainly it was a terrible moment for our medal hopes but it was an incredible moment for Australia as a nation. It showed our incredible aussie spirit in that he stayed on the bike and waved to the crowd, to his fans. I can't imagine the devastation he must have felt yet he handled himself like a true champion and I felt very proud to be an Australian that day.

Even though he double-checked the straps on his left pedal. I watched that live too, it was really sad.
