  • I would say something about godwin's law, but it's better to leave that joke alone...

  • Neo-Nazi:This song is great!

They'll never know the Jews wrote it.

  • DAMN RIGHT!!!!

  • Whenever I'm stupid enough to look at any group as "THEM" I play this as a reminder of how easy it is to become a monster. The German people were just people and they allowed themselves to become monstrous. We are all just a few steps away from this if we do not constantly police ourselves as individuals.

  • It's important to remember here that the composers of this song were Jewish and that the song, in conjunction with the scene from the film, is meant to show how the Nazis subverted nationalistic feelings in Germany. The song, on the surface, is merely about Germany recovering from the disastrous reparations which crippled the country in 1918. The words are stirring and there's no mention of Nazis anywhere. The film shows how these sentiments were twisted by the Nazis.

  • @reillylives "Recovered?" They were STILL struggling! Don't forget, Germany was also PARTIALLY DISMEMBERED after WW I! Go back and read your history, please.

  • @mbabist01 Didn't realize youtube was a classroom. On the WAY to recovery. Does that satisfy you, professor. Spare me the pompous reply, please.

  • @reillylives thats the idea its suposed to be catchy

  • @reillylives The song was originally a WWI-era Italian folk song, it wasn't written for the film, these lyrics are just a rhyming translation of the Italian lyrics with references to Germany inserted. The Italian fascists adopted the song and used it extensively in propaganda. I can't say for certain whether the Nazis ever used it, but they were known for "borrowing" Italian songs and rewriting lyrics so that they were applicable to Germany, including the Italian Fascist anthem, Giovinezza.

  • Last Verse repeated:

Oh mother and fatherland show us a sign

Your children have waited to see

The morning will come when the world is mine

    Tomorrow belongs to me.

  • yeah, its pretty scary, but the scene itself explains a lot.

in the first verse "they gather together to greet the storm" talks about a great disaster.

and in the last verse "the morning will come when the world is mine", it says a lot for itself :S

  • And how many innocent children are right now being force fed such PC propaganda about "man-made" global warming by Government mandate? Think I'm kidding?

"The 16th Cancun Conference on Climate Change (COP16) on Saturday reached its first consensus by approving a proposal on education, training and consciousness as part of efforts to mitigate climate change. The proposal commits signatories to promote formal and informal education strategies covering the climate change phenomenon."

    Sick!

  • @tubuyutu eh... how's that related to the video?

  • It's scary because it's so catchy

  • @mwlyth it's way more scary to know people have forgoten to be proud of being white. and by being proud i do NOT mean they have to bash the other races or cultures. It's a shame-- once so big, and not at the verge of extintion. lol : P

  • @AnitaCheesecake why are you proud of something you were not involved in? you can be proud of raising a specific child or running a company or making an artwork or helping a friend ... but how can you be proud of being born with a certain skin color?

  • @Dodec84 because if everyone is proud of what they are, look, and live like--- i see no reason not to be proud of what i was born. as simple as that. x )

  • @mwlyth No it is scary because it it is so damn pretty.

  • A real rouser but also so scarey!!!!!
