    Ms. Jaye Girouard

  • FINALLY! REAL music...

  • I've been listening to this every morning for the past week. I heard this video a LLOOOONNNNGGG time ago when it first got posted, but this arrangement is SO brilliant. Absolutely New York Voices!!

  • I met them!!!! I got to sing with them this past Saturday at the Bakersfield Jazz Festival. They're absolutely amazing, but you don't need me to tell you that!!

  • Now that was sweet! Thank you for posting.

  • This IS like being in love! I absolutely adore this arrangement! I am forever in awe of New York Voices. My All Time Favorites!

  • ambition of vocal perfection = egotistic. vitrue of jazz perfection = heavenly.

with jazz groups like these, the originally virtuous and true-to-heart jazz artists such as chick corea and return to forever, just seem to get covered in dust, nearly forgotten. down with this ego-centralized neo-jazz crap and these robots that follow and perform it for glory! and up with the real inspiring universal-message renaissance jazz that shares virtue with it's listeners! there's no fooling the soul..

  • Anyone know.. is this a Darmon arrangement? or if not, what arrangement this is..? Would love to get my hands on this one!

  • which great song are they singing here?:o

  • @maty7976321 Almost Like Being in Love :)

  • Straordinari. Qualcuno puo' dirmi se ci sono in commercio album con i loro arrangiamenti vocali?

  • I've always loved the New York Voices' soprano. Having been in many, many terrible vocal jazz groups myself, it's nice to hear a soprano who knows how to belt it when needed, and can swing like a gate!

  • i love kims run at the end!!

  • We have been fans of them for at least 15 years and just saw them this past weekend in concert...so polished. Love NYV!

  • these people are probably the most hard working people you will ever meet. peter is the best. sorry.

  • my pix

  • This is an awesome video! Love NYV!!!

  • Superb !. Have their recordings & love them but seeing & hearing this was an unexpected and great bonus. This provides a "master class" for aspiring vocalists.

    Thankyou for posting.

  • I love how effortless their performances are.

  • Demais!!!!

  • Out of the 28, 633 views I claim atleast 1000 views, It's sickening how good they are.

  • Just Nasty! Thanks for this!!!!

  • the best bass vocalist in my opinoin is Vinne from take 6

  • Anyone know if they recorded this??

  • vinnie is the best bass singer from take 6

  • Elisha Jordan sent me over here to check out New York Voices and I gotta say that I am much impressed!!

  • I really love them so much!!!!!! I listen to them at least 3 times a day!!

  • lolz...i am in middle school chourus and we got a lesson from these people :)

  • Me Too, The lady in the dress complimented me on my singing and energy personally, and in about an hour I will be performing Bli-Blip with them at the George L. Hess Educational Complex in Mays Landing, NJ so if ypu live near there they sell tickets at the door, and just in case you see this later, today is 3/4/10

  • Excellent arrangement and execution. Kudos. I'm a singer and musician.

  • THIS IS A KILLER BAND!!!!!!! LISTEN TO THWE EARTH WIND AND FIRE "thats the way of the world!" WOW!!!! ARE THEY BAD!!!!!

  • Hello folks, I'm a redneck from near Athens,GA. But I found you through good channels. I totally love jazz and other good qualities of the music ARTS. Sorry, I'm just a small voice from the world you don't think listens to you. I am alone but, do listen. Give me a chance...

  • @apacheangel007 - Kind words indeed, Sir. You are most welcome in our world. We are always open. Peace and blessings be unto you always..

  • Anyone know if they recorded this?

  • I want my jazz group to dao this song so bad..

  • OMG I love these guys. I've performed with them a few times when they made stops in Pittsburgh and they're even more amazing in person.

  • they came to my school. peter is the coolest guy ever. he was hilarious. Kim is super passionate, lauren is so knowledgable, and darmon is like superman, he can do anything. haha. he got to do a work shop with them and we opened for one of their concerts. sooo fun

  • Haha! I saw this and I was like...what a creep. Then I found out it was you :)

  • Does anyone know the name of this song? I love it!

  • Lol its called Almost Like Being In Love....

  • you want to hear an incredible bass who I think is better than Peter. And I know better if freakin good but his guy is better. Anders Jalkaeus. (if thats how you spell his name). the bass for the real group. youtube "a perfect life"

  • I have a record of the real group aøso playing exclusivly for my camera, i will post that one too soon.

  • whens that record getting posted?

  • real group is really good, but I think there's something in New York Voices' arrangements that set them apart. Every chord just resonates so nicely.

  • @knutg check out Vinne from take 6 he awesome thats a true bass vocalist

  • @ASchneider0908 naw man vine from take six is way etter then both of those cats

  • @ASchneider0908 I have met Peter, he is just super awesome, gave me some tips, I heard only one mistake he made during their concert that night, and it was actually before the concert while they were just checking the mics, he is pretty beast.

  • @ASchneider0908 Peter doesn't really count since he isn't a real bass hahaa.

  • OUTSANDING bass. They are all so good! I want to be like Peter Eldridge when i grow up haha.

  • yes, the bass is awesome, totally...

  • But of course!!!

  • Wow these guys are great! I love the Bassman especially! :D

  • Excellent blend.. So sweet!

  • THIS IS SOOOO GREAT! Upload some more, please? :) I can't wait for them to perform here in Jakarta! And yeah, I definitely envy every inch of your D'SOUND videoooooo!

  • i sang that song too. it is REALLY hard. "No laughs left" those chords. wow.

  • Man this is great! I actually got meet Darmon Meader and sing for him! But nobody can top his group!

  • The greatest are The Mahatten Transfer and Take 6 guys !!!!

  • There is no such thing as "the" greatest. New York Voices are by many considered as "they took over where Manhattan Transfer left off" (as in: taking it to the next level). Also: don't forget the pioneers of the 40s and 50s, many fantastic harmony-vocal jazz groups and the groundbreaking "Singers Unlimited". "Take 6" (undeniably brilliant of course) name them as one of their inspirations.

  • New York Voices are the GREATEST!

  • Cool! Where did you get this video?

  • i recorded it myself......

  • @knutg

This is absolutely great!...The easyness, relaxation, face and overall body language shows the wonderful time these guys are having and how they love what they do. I strongly urge you to get the "Brazilian Dreams" CD, recorded live by them and Paquito D'Rivera's group. Everything is top-notch Brazilian bossas, some even sung in perfectly pronounced Portuguese. Great solos by monster Paquito in alto and particularly on clarinet, Claudio Roditi on trumpet, and NYV's D. Meader on tsax.

  • Nice. Once upon a time, people would stand on the corner singing like that. You could walk by and pick that up off the ground. Now not so much, we've regressed.

  • They are just AMAZING!!!!!! I love them! How can they sing so easily and smoothly? I hope to see them live soon. Thank you for posting knutg!

  • lol they have the most ridicilous harmonies, Darmon meader is a musicial genious, the way he shapes their phrases with the harmony is abloutely amazing. There is just no way else to put it
