I agree with the preservation of air but on the roof in uniform pants and boots??? Really??? I have to say kudos to the rest of the guys on the roof atleast they had on full ppe minus thier scba face piece kinda makes you wonder why he is wearing a white hate in the 1st place....but again I wasnt there so I other than what can be seen in the video I dont know the conditions but anyways Stay Safe!
fire everyone here please shut the hell up cause when youre there you can talk i aboslutely hate sideline speakers second you dont need to waste your air when the conditions are ok like that you make it sound like the smoke was so bad that you couldnt see them on the roof anymore its actually smart that the scba weren't in use cause they preserved their air good job boys and stay safe
Search for "Close Call Washington Twp. Lehigh County 2nd Alarm FIRE" for evidence of a fire in June 2011 that supports my concerns. There are so many similarities between these two videos, but fortunately the Washington Twp. firefighter had the benefit of full PPE and did not sustain any injuries. Imagine if he was wearing BDUs or went fully inside the attic without respiratory protection!
Wow, so many safety issues on this one. First, why was the white hat on the roof without turnouts and SCBA? Also, there was a possibility of fire in the attic and they are operating without a roof ladder! Next, donations and/or taxes paid about $5000 per SCBA and none of them were in use! Why are they needlessly sucking smoke? Also, if one of them was to fall into the attic, they would struggle to get their face piece on. Why aren't they protecting their airway and exposed facial skin?
