When you opened the Drive i was confused for 3 secs. Than I was actually thinking: "Is there such a thing as tape drives?" ... about 3 more secs. And than I started laughing ... about 3 Mins.
@cenzo188 We extracted the tape from an old back up cassette. We removed the platters then used a drill on slow speed to transfer the tape. It took about 15 mins to complete the task due to trying to drill too fast.

So did you really wind all that tape on the hub, or just replace the hub with a tape spool?

This isn't a magnetic tape drive, it's a hard disk drive where someone for some reason replaced the platters with magnetic tape.

How to reproduce this video:
1) Take an old hard drive apart and replace the platters with audio cassette tape
2) Plug it into a computer's Molex connector for power
3) ???
4) Profit!
