  • THIS SUMMER FOLKS!

  • Reminds me of Sonic the Hedgehog

  • XBLA, PSN, PC. This Summer.

    Also a graffiti contest.

    Get hype.

  • Love this song, love this game.

  • On another note, am I the only one who pretty much dances in his seat and sings the chorus of this song when it plays?

  • IT'S GETTING PORTED TO THE XBLA AND PSN AS THE NEXT DREAMCAST PORT, PEOPLE! Get pumped and get your cans ready! Jet Set/Grind Radio is coming BACK!

  • @artcellrox Hellz ya!

  • @sydburn1986 Oh, and PC digital stores as well, as recently announced.

  • Does anyone know any artists with similar style to this song? I love how upbeat it is

  • @WretchedDrake It's indie rock (with what I think is a hint of R&B),, so the style might vary between bands. The Reps are virtually impossible to find online, so you might not be able to find any more of their music. HOpefully this helps -Sage

  • I'd like to see a re release of JGR... But only with the original soundtrack. Didn't different regional versions have different soundtracks? It would be nifty if SEGA released all of the soundtracks in one mega package with different soundtracks to choose from - I mean in the game but it would be nice to have CDs too - But I don't think it's going to happen.

  • @101Volts All the tracks are same through all the versions, except for the Bantam City ones, which are basically bonus tracks, and are different for each region, USA got Dragula and some others, Europe got Many Styles, Recipe for Perfect Afro, Funky Plucker, and I think some more. Not Sure what Japan got in terms of those songs.

  • @piledriver45 Thanks, I never knew that.

  • BRING BACK JSR AND SHENMUE SEGGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

  • I loved just skating around Kogane-cho just to listen this song on loop. This was one of my favorite songs of all time and I wonder if the Reps made any other music or if it was just a one off deal. They sound American, I can say that much

  • OMG I HAVE A TOP COMMENT!

  • @BlueVenom142 lol feels good right?:)

  • @daytimesky I cant get one to work

  • This band is called The Reps or just Reps. Anyway, I wish that I could have owned this game. I own Jet Set Radio Future. Also, never beat the game anyway. Beat pun not intended. :D

  • im still waiting for a dreamcast 2 whos with me

  • JSR is my second favourite game of all time.

  • @ahotbanana What's the first?

  • @lyris1 Amnesia: The Dark Decent

    Completely different game :P

  • I swear to god when I hear this song in game, they're not saying "Doo-wop, doo-wop, doop".

  • I could play BF3 to this games soundtrack. upbeat murder :P

  • but i like call of duty...

  • i'd trade every single game i have. for one copy of JSRF

  • @BlueVenom142 jet set radio u mean ? first game is much better

  • @brittanyisaketten No, I meant Jet Set Radio Future. JSRF has a better graphics, Better plot, its better overall...

  • @BlueVenom142 nah jgr cell shaded look is alot more vibrant and more enjoyable jsrf was good game play wise soundtrack wise and look not so much .

  • @brittanyisaketten Well, I dont really care. Both of them were really good games. so STFU and enjoy the music...

  • @BlueVenom142 just proving a point . sir and i enjoy the music all the time.

  • @BlueVenom142 It works pretty well on the Dreamcast emulator if you use a 360 controller.

  • @BlueVenom142 Well it seems we are both in luck, I have 2 copies of JSRF!

  • 6 people are Poison Jam

  • I wish I could find this band. They're basically non-existent :/

    SOMEBODY CONTACT SEGA

  • Yes you can compare anything to everything as long as it shares some core elements. Besides COD is fucking boring, at least Jet Set Radio was a game which dared to be different. Compared to gaming today it's all about money and DLC and bringing out sequels.

  • lets compare warcraft 3 with half-life, halo 2 with luigi's mansion, NHL Hitz with DDR, Call of duty with JSR.... -_-

  • @YoMyEx If you are refering to the top comments, then they do have a point as I'm bored of all the hype around military games. I want good games which were fun and weren't afraid to try crazy stuff, I mean look at Jet Set Radio- it's about a rollerblading tagging gang with an insane but oh so cool story with fun gameplay. In comparison Call of Duty is just too serious. Plus I have to say your silly little emoticon just makes you look like an emo- get a grip as people have opinions.

  • @HeavyArmsO5 well yeah i guess people have opinions, but that doesnt make them valid just because its an opinion. I have a point in regards to comparing games. Comparing completely different genres is pointless and juvenile. Who compares different movie genres? or music genres? Also comparing in the first place just shows how immature people can be. Just let a game be a game, right? ^_^ <--- too emo for you?

  • @YoMyEx you can on simple things like Fun Factor, Content, Replay Value, and Music

  • WHAT the fuck is everybody talking about COD for? This is as far from COD as you could ever get ><

  • @RedDaVincy And that's probably why they talk badly about COD : they're far enough. ^^

  • @RedDaVincy they get owned. the subdletys of competitive games probably piss them off. i don't get it either. i love jsr. however i don't get pwned on competitive games and cry.

  • I was gonna post a comment about saying how bad COD is, but i got to get 24 spray cans, 2 special modified hyper powered skates and earphones that are bigger than my head...

  • F U CALL OF DUTY !!!!!!!....sides just listen to ta musik

  • Stop talking about Call of Duty and LISTEN TO THE MUSIC

  • @siberianotcaucasia THing is every call of duty game repeats itself

  • @JoostRevo btw sorry If it bothers you that i replied to an 11 months old comment

  • Listen SEGA, let's give sonic some time off from sucking and make a sequel.

Anyone with me on this one?

  • @CyTheTiger Sonic does not susck! Neither this game, but,...

  • where can i download this?

  • @nintendodork4 Be cool. Buy the game haha, I seen it at GameTraders

  • I dont find this band in any place :(

  • @siberianotcaucasia you high bro? every single game i have on my 360 (including call of duty) are VERY repetitive. I beat Jet Grind radio and enjoyed every second of it. I also beat call of duty waw and got bored after the third level.

  • oh yeah Reps

  • AHH! i just wanna get up and dance!

  • 'Bout the awesome music....

  • Covering up Poison Jam's Graffiti.Good memories

  • Best track in the hole game!!!!!

  • Sounds a tiny bit like Millencolin...

  • this is the only song on the soundtrack that I don't like

  • 3 golden rhinos :o

  • 3 people got there turf taken by Kogane- Cho

  • FUCK YEAH! THIS TRACK KISS SO MUCH FUCKING ASSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

  • this song is awesome back when i use to play this i didnt care for it alot now its like one of my favs......gooood times

  • This should be in Samba de Amigo.

  • can you tell me how to download the song. give me a link or a page where you can download this song. please answer me

I downloaded all the songs in this game unless BOUT THE CITY

  • 0.26-0.33 sounds exactly like the part in Spin Doctor's 'Yo Mama's a Pajama' where they go 'Ain't she sweet she's walking down the street'.

'Bout the City is one of the best fitting songs in the Jet Set Radio series.

  • My favorite song in JSR!

  • This game has setted a new standard in th game history, the cell shading use.......Sega always teaches great lessons........Dreamcast forever!!!!

  • I remember playing this game when I was ike 4 or 5.

  • @halofan981

    And it's still the best.

  • does any know where I can find the lyrics?

  • I jus like the start of the song. from the start to the guitar part.

  • bought this game, brand new off ebay the other.. ohh the epicness:D

  • @kasumi4eva Going to do that myself. I might get it used though. But I don't care as long as the game works. I've already tried the Japanese version of the game. The guy who sold me his Dreamcast included some burned games. One of them was Jet set radio Japanese.

BTW, eff you Americans the Japanese use the same name as Europeans, I can read it of the title in the video. No "grind" shit in there.

  • @Scourgeandmephiles93

    oh how i agree so..

i want to try the japanese version whats the voice actors like in it any good?

also do you know why they call it jet grind radio in america?

is it just because they HAVE to be different or they got a proper reason.

Jet Set Radio sounds more epic neer the less <3

  • @kasumi4eva The doctor announcing at the pirate radio speaks English with the same voice as in the American and European ones. All the text is in Japanese. The characters you play as has a Japanese voice actor. You can hear that from their victory shout outs. Also the police talks Japanese.

I think the American version had to steer clear of copyright collisions. Just like the European Dreamcast had to with its spiral. Sega should've made the spiral blue like their logo in the first place.

  • around sunset i go aggressive in lining to this song.

  • I have this song stuck in my head constantly XD

  • the pace of this song goes perfect while playing prototype

  • One of the best freakin songs period!!!

  • Hey y'all, no need to hate so much on the modern gaming scene. There's plenty of creativity out there. A lot of indie developers are creating some great stuff there, and its easier than ever for someone to just pick up a couple programs and letting the art flow.

True, we're kind of swarmed by the AAA high production games like the Halos and the other smorgasbord of shooters and generics, but I mean, there's lots of good stuff out there if you're willing to look for it.

  • Comment removed

  • @JoostRevo if you live in Ohio or indy, check Disc Replay. They have JSR in the Disc Replay store near my house. I'd buy it if i had a DreamCast . :(

  • @siberianotcaucasia

Those games were REVOLUTIONARY for their time. They helped invent genres. And thats just the thing. The only games now by far are military and racing games. Youll never see another game about rebels in a future tokyo society that do graffiti on rocket-propelled rolloerblades. Thats too original for todays market, its all stupid shooting games now. No new dynamics.

  • jet set radio BEST FUCKING VIDEOGAME EVER.

  • FUCK YOU HALO! FUCK YOU CALL OF DUTY! FUCK YOU GTAIV!

FUCK YOU SONY! FUCK YOU MICROSOFT! FUCK YOU WII!

LONG LIVE SEGA DREAMCAST AND JET GRIND RADIO!!!

  • @eastofeastside whoa buddy let's not get hasty with the f bombs you just dropped there. Although I do agree with your last statement!

  • @eastofeastside you know..there gonna release this game on Xbox live

  • Wearing headphones and playing this while skating around a July evening is so damn awesome.

  • @Deokishisu You're right, it would! Too bad grafitti's illegal unless done on your own property. Then, it'd be even cooler!

  • I hope to god because of this song that JSR is brought to XBL ..

    or

They just make a whole new game altogether ..

  • @BIGDeeRVP SUPER LATE RESPONSE, LIKE 2 MONTHS AFTER YOU POSTED THIS COMMENT, but I just thought I'd say in case you haven't heard that the chances of that happening are constantly increasing. It has been announced that there ARE dreamcast games coming to XBLA, with no exact description of which. however, it has been rumored that Microsoft bought the rights to using JGR on their system. So let's pray for true gamers to get what they deserve. :D

  • @SSmasked yea i think the first dreamcast game to be released on XBLA was soulcalibur

  • One of my favorite songs off of the original JSR. Has a ska feel to it, and I love that.

In one song, The Reps captured everything it meant to be a kid who skated the streets, tearing up the city, and just chilling out with your friends on a stoop on a Summer evening.

  • Legit Song.

  • awesome

  • BANGA!

  • Way better than some bland-ass repetitive military game. Fuck you, Call of Duty.

  • @ApesOfBass The only is very addicting but I prefer Jet Set Radio(and final fantasy) O.o

  • @ApesOfBass Haha yeah, not to mention now games are all military/gun based, like call of duty, counter strike, halo... and many more o,o

  • @ApesOfBass

So true, man. Those games are overrated and overhyped.

JSR is an essential classic in the Dreamcast Library.

  • @megamanacses

I'm talking about video games as a whole. Recently, the trend is to make bland and repetitive games, such as Call of Duty.

You deserve a smack in the face, good sir.

  • @ApesOfBass

    no

  • @megamanacses

    yes

  • @megamanacses

    Queer.

  • @ApesOfBass i agree jsr is amazing, but so is call of duty!!!!!! especially when u learn to quick-scope

  • @boneless16

Haha yeah little things like that do make a game special and all, but relative to innovative classics like this, it just doesn't stack up. =)

  • @ApesOfBass ikr its for noobs that dont know anything about skill

  • @fanglyn

Straight up, man. We got true gamers playing JSR.

  • @ApesOfBass

hahaha call of duty wishes it was as great as this game

  • @ApesOfBass I love you.

  • @ApesOfBass finally, someone who actually has a brain and likes games that are actually good

  • @ApesOfBass Try telling that to the billions of people who bought it >.>

  • @demonnogo

Billions of people watch MTV, so what does that tell you.

In fact that just proves my point even more - if you're trying to sell something to a bunch of people, you're going to want it to have mass-appeal, which ends up making it EXTREMELY unoriginal and bland. And that shit doesn't cut it with me.

  • @ApesOfBass True.

  • Those are so generic......

  • @ApesOfBass

This deserves way more thumb-ups than it currently does.

  • @ApesOfBass Can't you like both? I know I do. For different reasons.

  • @WaddleDee105 Well at least you have diversity in your gaming taste.

  • @ardeesonic : I don't have THAT much diversity. I actually hate most RPGs (anything that isn't the first two Paper Mario games) and I don't like most puzzle games. (Including the beloved Portal)

  • @ApesOfBass fuck yea!!!

  • @ApesOfBass thank you for saying that my friend is now pissed lol

  • @ApesOfBass dude i so agree with you. call of duty sucks!

  • iv got the sound track!!!i love you ebay!!!

  • my FAV JSRF song

  • this song send me way the fk back haha

  • where can i found the lyrics ? please

  • @riffraff79000

Its a wonderful site called GOOGLE =D

  • DOO WAH DOO WAH LISTEN TO THE MUSIC

  • i like more EVERYBODY LISTEN TO THE MUSIC

  • SKANK IT!

  • yet another great song :)

  • Parapapapa!

  • Still play this game to this day now and then, and indeed very good memories have a new dreamcast for almost 6 months now, on my old dreamcast which I sold (STUPID;)) I had this title whilst it was just released in japan, now have the european version but liked the voices more in the jap version, they were VEEERRY coooool, JSR was really ahead of its time back then! ---SEGA---

  • LOL McDonalads Reference

    Bahd up buh buh bup

  • this game was released before that phrase existed...

  • fav song on this game

    Awesome :)

  • The best is "Super Brothers". 8D

  • WHO ARE YOU....

    WHATS YOUR NAME....

    : )

  • SUPAH BROTHA!

  • Started playing JGR again recently, this is one of the best tracks, thanks for uploading. Do the Reps still make music? Anyways, JGR is still one of the best DC games in the whole library and its gameplay, style and music are all just as fresh and hip as ever almost 9 years later!

  • @Monitor1CC yeah its one of the best tracks

  • It's still weird to hear 'Doo wop doo wop doo." It's still a good song, though.

  • lol, redundant.

    I should work on that.
