OMG! Well, I read the comments before I watched the video, so I knew about the laugh, but it was still completely unexpected-but absolutely perfect! :D AWESOME!
Wow this is an absolutely amazing video! I love Holmes' laugh at one bit, and the editing is fantastic! I have to watch this at least once a day now :D. Also which episode is the clip at 2:25 from? I can't find it anywhere!
So glad you enjoyed it! That laugh my my fav part too. :) And my brother said that the scene at 2:25 is from Boscombe Valley. I'm not so sure, but he could be right. haha Thx for watching!
What I found most interesting was that most of the clips were in color, meaning they were from more recent movies.
So, either the newer movies focus too much on Holmes' cocaine problem, or the older movies were too afraid to tackle the subject.
What struck me the most was the scene where Watson comes into the room reading a newspaper, and catched Sherlock closing the drawer with the needle in it. And the scene on the beach. Both pretty powerful stuff.
Actually, the older movies didnt quite address his cocaine problem. Though it wasnt quite so bad an addiction, mainly his escape from boredom if there were no cases. In the Canon he ceased to use it after SIGN, as Watson had convinced him that it was dangerous. In the Granada series (from which this vid was made) Jeremy Brett requested that they SHOW Holmes getting rid of it for the benefit of the audience. Dont know if you wanted all that info...but thx for the kind words Glad you enjoyed!
Can you please explain what is meant by Canon and SIGN? I'm guessing Canon is Doyle's Sherlock Holmes series, and SIGN is one particular book from the series?
(I realize this may be a silly question, but I've only recently started getting into Sherlock Holmes.)
Oh! Sry bout that. lol Canon means the original 4 novels & 56 short stories by Doyle. SIGN is just the short hand for Sign of Four, the second novel in the series. :)
Thank you m'dear! It was actually my little brother who did most of the work on this one though. *ducks head shamefully* But the laugh WAS MY IDEA ALL THE WAY!!! hehe Really, it was. glad you liked it! Thx!
Well, 31 is from The Final Problem, and 32 is from The Resident Patient. You don't see the second shot much, I know! But it's so good. So glad you enjoyed the vid! Thx!
Thank you, my friend(em) I'm so very glad you enjoyed it. We worked for quite some time on this one, and actually do have a few more but it takes forever to upload. One or two is a little more on the humorous side. :)I'll try to add them soon. And Sir Henry said hello to you(em) And that he would adore some more Billy Joel music. Thank you so much for your kind words(em)

2:49 I love that, perfectly edited. Holmes's laugh over the music just makes it completely trippy.

The laugh works better(for this video at least) than the I WANT TO DIE! that is in the song.(Though that gives me goosebumps too.)

That was fun to watch. I like how you made Holmes and Watson's best-friend-ness prominent in the vid.

V, you've outdone your self, my word, what a masterpiece, I almost forgot how much I hate exclamation marks in my excitement.
What a talent you have you must do another one, you and your brother have done an outstanding job.
I comment you both, it really could not have been any better.
Oh, and nice blurb there, ha ha ha. Do say hello to Sir Henry for me, will you? And ask him if he wants me to send you guys any more Billy Joel.
I don't think I need bother to sign this.
