Being a high belt in Taekwondo doesn't mean that you will always win a fight. The other side about Taekwondo, as an art, if to give people self-confidence and help them learn self contol and respect. i know this because I've been doing it for 5 and abit years and am planning to take my black belt grading this Sunday. By the way this a really good video.. well done you!! :-D
Whoever is saying this kid will get his ass kciked is retarded. Movies have tricked everyone into thinking if it doesent look super bad ass then its worthless. Usually all the martial arts concerned with beauty are shit. Notice I said usually some styles of lets say taekwondo are an exception. If one of those blows hit a someone his size or probably a bit bigger it would knock them on the ground. Oh and by the way if taekwondo sucks then why do special forces use it?
yea good for 9 year old but not for a black belt well i cant really say anyything because i just started and im a yellow belt. but iv seen alot f people at my school with black belt and there good
You call that a blackbelt? If I punch you in the face, you wouldn't know its coming because you're too busy staring at your shoes. Your stance is too high and wobbly. Your punches are weak. Go back to your teacher and ask for a refund.
i agreed with 222333s. if ur a blackbelt, be like a blackbelt, otherwise u will just ruin the reputation of the art. ever heard of mcdojo? i dont think this kid deserve a blackbelt. thats for sure, i dont know y he puts in on utube to show off?
yea he could be proud but in real life situation, u tink u can defend urself cuz ur 'BLACKBELT' but u probably end up get ur ass kicked by ppl. nothing is really wrong if hes proud of himself because he is blackbelt, but no1 would respect the art if a random kick the shit outta a blackbelt.
But this isn't about that, it's about him earning his blakcbelt. Of course he'd probably get beaten up in a real-life situation, but what does that have anything to do with wanting to earn a belt color? And Tae Kwon Do is not about fighting someone until they're beat, it's defending yourself from anything he throws at you for a small amount of time, then get the hell out of there. And you do know that he just got 1st degree blackbelt, there are 9 degrees, and takes about 40 years training for it
blackbelt to what? to show off? to defend himself? y pay money to get belt. matter of fact, i've got bjj blackbelt, tkd blackbelt, karate blackbelt. i've got all of them from ebay, u get me. i knw there r 9 degrees but does he deserve a belt? dats the main point. it is not about fighting, but nowadays, u cant rele defend urself using tkd, too many mcdojos.
You have never worked hard for something in your life once, have you? I started Tae Kwan Do when I was Eight, and earned my blackbelt when I was 12. It's a sign you've worked hard enough to earn it, and besides, back in Korea, around 25 years ago, Tae Kwon Do was taught properly, so I'll give you that, that children are learning a much watered down, dogmatic version of Tae Kwon Do. But does that make earning a blackbelt easy? No, it takes at least four years before you earn it.
i will sleep in tkd academy 24/7 n after 4 years, i will get a blackbelt n go outside 2 show my friends yea. so u tink i dnt work hard? 4 years ARE NOTHING! look at them bjj schools, it takes 10 years to get a blackbelt n sumtimes 12 years. damn, dats wht i called hard work. they spar like a man every lesson n taekwondo's rules protect taekwondo practitioners
So, just because one place take 12 years of training, it automatically makes 4 years of training nothing? Look, 4 years is still hard work, 12 years is harder, yes, but does not take away from the fact that 4 years is still hard work. And please, I usually don't correct people for their grammar and spelling, but I can't understand one thing you're trying to type. dnt type lke tis, it's annoying and hard to read. And yes, I don't think you work hard, and you haven't given me any reason not to.
What about going against another kid same age pound for pound. You think he will still get killed? You are comparing apples and oranges. Its like me comparing you to a shark. Sure you can swim, but can you outswim a shark!
I black belt too u stink lol u not got the moves right they too dramatic taekwondo not bout being dramatic it bout being good and being able to defend ur self
Don't worry about negative comments kiddo, anyone who signs in so they can dis a kid practicing his martial arts is sorry anyway. Keep going, I'd like to see your vids in 10 years time, show them how you turned out :)
I'd have to agree with GSFTruestar. He/she is right. If you have certificates at your school it should say poom, not dan. All schools have different technique, so i can't comment on tht. You should keep your head up, though. Not always look down.
Anybody under 16 17 years should not be a black belt. Your body hasn't developed, and you are not ready for real conflict as it will come in the real world. Junior Black Belt would be more appropriate for a kid like this, young, yet knowledgeable in a Martial Art. But full Dan ranked black belt? Don't think so.
That i thought about is very true cause i see some sorry crap black belts and im a brown right now at the age of 14 and im so much sharper stronger faster and more formal. so some times i think i should be there instead of them.

He's a kid... any adult can just kill him with one punch. So yeah, a black belt on this kid means NOTHING at all. So you're right.
