there are huge differences between different genres. the sound has come a long way. i think that each band has it's own unique style, and the band itself should be judged, not the genre. it's hard anymore to label. deathcore, death metal, and tech death are all very similar. granted the most extreme tech death band sounds nearly incomparable to a straight up death core band, but somewhere in the middle it blends, and it becomes hard to draw lines. a lot of it is very good.

@squintykiller Cradle of faggotry was formed after most of the bands I listen to for one, and when I say listen to more bands I mean that cradle of filth is one of the few black metal bands that got mainstream success, it doesn't mean they're the best. Do some research on the roots of black metal, listen to a bigger variety and fuck off from youtube. Andf FYI I'm more of a death metal guy myself.
