CNN Debate Ques: Failure of Republican Conservative Values

There is an American value that Conservatives have corrupted and Progressives have only half heartily embraced: pragmatism. Since Nixon, the conservatives have allowed them selves to be pragmatic to the extreme of illegality. The party of Atwater and Rove are naked Machiavellians.

The Dems are not pragmatic enough. The party does its best when it follows an ethical pragmatic path, but it is bought out by the same corporate interests as the Republicans. So I vote Green or Independent.

That is really asking the wrong question. The fact that they non cons that and the religious right will be voted out by voting DEM is the biggest improvment even if the DEMs make lots of mistakes. I have been GOP for many years but am voting DEM this time.

The Democrats values are not very good but compared to the Bush administration most anyones values are better. The Bush administrations values are almost non-existent.
