is this video really supposed to be done daily? i tried it and was sore for a few days ... now i loved it but for me using it daily was unrealistic... thoughts?
@earlydawn81 No, I don't think you need to do anything daily. Most experts recommend working out at the max 6 days a week and having a day for rest. Realistically if you could do it 4-5 times a week that would be excellent!
@earlydawn81 I got three days into it and was afraid of the fourth day. I enjoyed it, yah, but my arms wouldn't completely straighten. I briefly considered that I might have overextended or injured myself. Right now I do 3 days and rest, 3 days and rest. I cannot believe the results I'm getting in this short amount of time just in terms of feeling taut, toned, and keeping consistent energy levels.

@music4life3690 I have seen people use water bottles and soup cans. Honestly I don't think you will get the same results, but it is possible. You don't need a whole set of weights 3 or 5 pound weights is a great investment that I think every woman should have and you can use those same weights for pretty much every video you have!
It gets really boring, but I actually think it's affected me more than hitting the gym. Even when I follow my personal trainer's routine I feel like this is giving results quicker. Plus with the trainer's routine it's not as motivating. Unless he was actually right there, but he charges 100$ per hour... working out sucks... but I must lose the weight to get the girl of my dreams!

Do level 1 for week, level 2 for a week, and level 3 for 2 weeks, unless you have never exercised in your life then you might want to stick with level 1 for 2 weeks and then the others for just 1.

@jkadams1983 yes, I would get a different video... pilates, yoga, and Physique 57 are aimed more at toning and provide less weight loss. Also, things like Jari Love's videos are a bit more intense, but also great for tightening up.

Hi, I lost 34 lbs in a 4 month period, but then I reached a plateau and havent lost weight in 8 months. I do HIIT, circuit training and strength training and workout 4 days a week. I have a very good fitness level, but can't seem to find the way to lose the last 10 pounds, not even increasing the intensity of my intervals. I'm thinking about getting this dvd, but since I'm not a beginner, I'm not sure if I should do the levels 1 and 2. What do you think?

@andrea756307 Have you changed your eating habits? I noticed a few weeks ago that the reason why I was not losing weight was because my eating habits went back to the way it was before. I've been counting my calories gained and lost each day and I've lost about three and a half pounds. :)
@andrea756307 There is a great book called the "Fat Flush Plan". it does a great job of explaining body and food chemistry. If you're physically capable of working out and burning calories, it's probably a factor in your diet. I learned that eating some low fat & fat free foods can cause your body to hold on to fat. check it out.

I'm a decently fit guy, and I've been doing this dvd and it's kicking my butt. The 3rd-4th day it gets a lot easier. It helps to show your improvement.
I started at 139lbs and directly after the first workout I lost 1.5 pounds.
Mostly just doing it to get my 6 pack back. It seems to be working.
Got this on Amazon for $4.99. I love it! I felt a difference after the very first workout. Warning: You'll feel like you're going to die in level 1!! :D
I find her to incredibly annoying as well, however... the DVD is quite good. I had the same problem with the knee circles... I'm looking for a better alternative for that particular step, but so far, no luck :(
@onetreehill424 with a proper diet, yes, I do think you could tone up with this DVD, but you're only 16... so remember just take it easy and be healthy... doing something drastic for homecoming isn't worth it!
@theriluvsinme In general, yes, that is how the program is meant to be done, but I usually tell people that it depends on your fitness level... if you find level 1 too easy you could move on and try level 2 and 3 sooner

I went out and purchased this today. It cost $9 bucks at Target! :) Yey! I just finished Level 1 and I have to say it was slightly hurting my knees. I haven't worked out in over 7 months, and I have gained 15-20 pounds since then. My current weight :( ... is 167. (My goal weight is 125)

@CynticismBeauty just make sure in the warmup for level 1 you don't do those knee circles... Jillian says its to help protect your knees, but after I did it they felt much worse. If you get into pilates dont forget to do some form of cardio whether its just walking or the elliptical... Thats the only way to shed those pounds!

No you do NOT do level 1 for 30 days, etc. By the end of the 30 days you should be on level 3. You are supposed to tailor the program to your fitness level. So if you are out of shape stick with level 1 for 2 weeks, then level 2 for a week and finally level 3 for the last week. I believe she explains how to use the program in the "extras menu." But that is how I would do it! Also, I believe she advises doing it 3-4 times a week! I prefer to mix things up for maximum results!

I went out and purchased this today. It cost $9 bucks at Target! :) Yey! I just finished Level 1 and I have to say it was slightly hurting my knees. I haven't worked out in over 7 months, and I have gained 15-20 pounds since then. My current weight :( ... is 167. (My goal weight is 125)
I received your message on doing pilates. I will be looking into that.

@CynticismBeauty just make sure in the warmup for level 1 you don't do those knee circles... Jillian says its to help protect your knees, but after I did it they felt much worse. If you get into pilates dont forget to do some form of cardio whether its just walking or the elliptical... Thats the only way to shed those pounds!

@lees8597 I love all her workout videos, I just find that on the Biggest Loser she can be over the top. I recently graduated from college so I am just trying to lose the few lbs you gain in college and tone up if that explains :)

hi Taylie! thanks for your review about this workout! I've started level 1 few days ago and it's a really good workout! I hope to have some results! but i didn't understand for how long i should do the level 1? is it 30 days of level 1, 30 days of level 2 etc..? and in your opinion do i have to do it everyday or not? cause it seems weird to me doing the same type of exercises every day... Thanks =)
p.s. and as someone said here below me your hair are amazing! I wanna those too!

No you do NOT do level 1 for 30 days, etc. By the end of the 30 days you should be on level 3. You are supposed to tailor the program to your fitness level. So if you are out of shape stick with level 1 for 2 weeks, then level 2 for a week and finally level 3 for the last week. I believe she explains how to use the program in the "extras menu." But that is how I would do it! Also, I believe she advises doing it 3-4 times a week! I prefer to mix things up for maximum results!
