Although I'm certainly sure it's not that at all, I'm pretty positive it's the fact they wanna try to make new things while of course still keeping the Primus feel in their songs.

Music for me is never offensive, I see past w/e they write about and allow myself to respect the fact they express themselves. @ArseneWengerIsGod The level of sheer pretentiousness here doesn't surprise me. People always bash Nickelback, but they never explain why exactly they supposedly suck. And for the record, I definitely like Primus more, but Nickelback is a decent band, and can write a good song when they want to. Unfortunately, their most popular songs (the ballads) are IMO their worst.

I hate Nickelback with a passion but I don't see why maalbe shouldn't listen to Primus because he chose to like a shit band where all their songs sound pretty much the same, their singer sings shit lyrics, the band play very simple chords and melodies and they got bottled offstage in israel because they were that shit

@wombat989 I think you should listen to their 90s stuff (Curb & The State). IMO way better than their recent stuff. Not as commercial & a bit heavier. Leans more towards post-grunge than their current style.
