  • Yea does this cover active acne? Like full coverage flawless

  • I have been thinking about getting this foundation. Thanks for the great review :)

  • Is it good for acne?? I'm 16 and have acne and also redness I don't dare use a moistureizor in case I break out. I'm currently using revlon colorstay in 150 buff combo skin and find it a little thick and dark, can u help me??D:

  • I own 001... So pale :3

  • This foundation must be for young skin, its very dry.

  • correction, its $20

  • is this product good for oily skin? and also, does it remain d same all day long? i use the revlon colour stay for oily skin..i tried lots of colours also but never got one that looks exactly like the colour of my skin. i also noticed with the revlon colour stay, that when takin photos comes really looking bad.

  • @cAtH3R1N3eeeeee I have oily skin and I LOVE it! it does NOT look good in pictures though it has reflects in it and a lot of spf (i believ spf20)

  • @Nuggzbabe098 If you go to a CVS, Walgreens or Rite Aid type drugstore, save your receipt and they'll exchange it if it's the wrong color.

  • 002 which is vanilla is way lighter then shell

  • I'm sorry but its nothing like makeup forever hd foundation. Mufe hd looks like skin and has medium coverage. The Revlon photoready has maybe a little more coverage but looks extremely shimmery on ur skin to the point where it looks very weird and unattractive.

  • I have the lightest the shade: 002 Vanilla. I love this foundation, it's just perfect! It really depends on your skin type. I don't have oily or dry skin. My skin is just sensitive and this is amazing. For me it was $11.35 I usually wouldn't pay that much, but this foundation just lasts forever! LOVE IT.

  • @msrho317 I agree, it looks cakey and I have good skin

  • I paid $19.99 for this D; I haven't used it yet, but bought it because I heard very good things about it. I was going to buy the ColorStay, but I couldn't find one to match my skin tone. :( I tried it on my hand and it matched my skin and I didn't notice any shimmers. It glided and blended very well. Hopefully it does this on my face too!

  • This foundation is horrible for me...it's cakey and shimmery and makes my skin dry!

  • I usually mix revlon photoready, and revlon colorstay.

  • I really dont like it.. Made my skin look super super dry :(

  • I really don't like the Photo Ready foundation, for me it made my skin look really dry. Even after exfoliating, there were a bunch of flakes that became very noticable with this foundation. For me, the ColorStay is wayyy better.

  • i really love this fondation ive been useing it for a year i dont notice the shimmer aswell the conceler and powder is super awsome aswell :D

  • I hate it, it looks fake and cake . I only used a dab.it is matter and shimmery. It feel gross. And it feel like overshadow

  • Where did you get your curtains?? They're so pretty!

  • OK so, for a while(1 week) I was wondering why the heck I had sparkles all over my hand! I freakishly checked all my lotions and finally realized it's because of the foundation.

haha. I didn't even notice the shimmer on my face, only on my hands because I put the foundation on my hand then dab with a brush.

    Oh goodness..

  • i actually love this foundation. i really don't see any kind of sparke when i put it on. i also like colorstay but that one has such a heavy coverage that it just looks way too cakey. photoready gives you a perfect dewy finish.

  • i loveeeeeeeee this foundation :)

Yes it has shimmers in it, but they are barely noticable, howeverr i have heared that the amount of shimmer varies from pot to pot,

i'm in the shade vanilla, and its the only foundation ever that i have found that suits my skin colour! :) xxx

  • i wanted to c u use it :/

  • does it work for oily combo skin?

  • haha its a great foundation if you get read of the sparkles taha i dont like any foundation that has SPARKLES in it ;p

  • the makeup forever hd is really really shiny! and it stops blending well after a while it is very similar to a color stay. but its fourty dollars. ive had it for a while and loved it at first but now i am starting to be unhappy with it.

  • I just got the PhotoReady under eye circle concealer! It works really well considering I have fair skin and tired eyes! :3

  • I do not like this. It's matte and shimmery at the same time giving me an unnatural finish.don't recommend it..

  • I really wanted to like photoready. I think if I had tried it in the winter I might like it more, but I tried it last month (June), and before I had even finished the rest of my makeup I had to do another powder application because I looked like an oil slick. It got worse throughout the day. This never really happens to me because I have combination skin that's more on the dry side. :( I'll stick to Revlon colorstay and Rimmel lasting finish.

  • Just bought my photoready yesterday, I love it! It glides on great and it doesn't feel thick like my Mac Studiofix foundation which I'm tossing I hate it! Thank you for sharing :) I love your videos!

  • I HATE ColorStay. It made my skin feel so dry. I wore Photo Ready to my Jr Prom, and I got so many compliments. It covers my uneven skin tone extremely well and I can't even feel it :)

  • I love ColorStay better ja...

  • does anyone know which is better for oily skin...colorstay or photoready? :)

  • @ivetteey i would say the combination/oily version of colorstay. it stays in place all day and it has a matte finish.

  • where can you get swatches of this foundation? plz help :)

  • @lovingyou973 Marlena has a picture of the swatches on her makeupgeek site, but if u meant get swatches in real life than I have no idea :) I heard there are no testers for it :/

  • Hi, ColorStay in Buff is my perfect shade. What do you think would be the equivalent shade for me in Photo Ready? Thank you.

  • How do you decide which color to choose at a drugstore without samples? I always seem to buy the wrong colors from Drugstores!!

  • @Nuggzbabe098 try the Foundation Finder/Foundation Matrix online its usually Dead on, esp if u know ur undertones and MAC color it will DEF narrow down ur color to at least 2. I do it everytime I get any foundation not just Drugstore kind. Hope that helped

  • @Nuggzbabe098 i just open it up regardless & swatch it . if your paying $13 for it, hell, why not? :)

  • @Nuggzbabe098 If you buy the wrong color, use it as a reference. Say it looks too light on your skin, return it to buy the next shade. If its too yellow or too pink, use it as a reference!

  • @Nuggzbabe098 me too, i hate that too. i wish i knew exactly what colors to use. i end up buying several before i get the right one and give the others to family and friends that matches them. walgreens are good at taking them back but still i hate it when u buy it to use and need it then.

  • this foundation was so bad on my skin. it made my skin really dry & my skin also started peeling. I hated it :( & also when i take pictures with this it make my skin look as white as a ghost

  • random question, but where did u get those curtains? i've been looking for something like those lol

  • Everyone keeps saying it's to sparkly? It's weird cause I've never even noticed any shimmer in this foundation. I have the same one.

  • Please can you tell me if this foundation would be good to wear in an extremely hot weather???

Thanx for the review x x

  • I like your videos, you seem like a realy nice and intelligent person, and you r so much beter to listen to compared to all the dumb bimbos with no brain who upload their videos and pretend to give the advice on make up, and most of them cant even add 2 + 2. p.s this fooundations was great on my skin

  • Alot of people whine about the sparkles in this foundation... Its not bad at all. The sparkles are very suttle and very unnoticeable unless someone is looking closleyy at your skin. But this foundation is my absolute favorite

  • can you please fix your lighting, looks orange.

  • I got the compact version and I regret it....as cool as it sounds or looks with that little net thingi don't get the compact version. I wish I could have gotten the jar version of photoready instead.

  • the sparkles in it are too much...NEVER WEAR IT ALONE WITHOUT POWDER IM WARNING YOU! its kindof a sparkly mess..it has good coverage and it stays all day, its good for a carnival day, it stays and its fairly waterproof, i swam with it on too, and it has an spf too

  • Okay so is this ACTUALLY good for photos? I know everyone says you should use matte makeup for photos.. but this apparently has some "glow" or even shimmer to it.

  • Hey everyone, if u go to beautystyleremedy channel theres another review on the revlon photo ready foundation, as well as, the maybelline liquid mousse foundation incase u are not sure if u want to purchase either of these foundations this video may help :)

  • i hate this foundation i bought it cuz of the review and i used to use colorstay the photo ready foundation sucks!

  • Can Someone Help Me? I Use The Revlon Color Stay Foundation & I Can't Find My Shade, They're All Too Pinky Or Orangey For Me. My Skin Is More Olivey, & I Can't Find Any Foundation From Any Brand To Match My Skin, Does Anyone Have This Problem? :-(

  • It's like watever

  • Targets sells them for $10

  • I have the lightes one because Im white as snow :( hihi

  • i have this foundation and i really didnt like it :(

  • what if you used the colorstay as like a base and then used the photoready as like a finisher?

  • your site is only directed for pale skin. You only showed the foundation colors for lighter people.

  • Hey girls, all revlon make-ups are oil free except for the age defy for dry skin. That's the only revlon foundation that contains oil :)

  • yes it leaves glitter on the face. period. its fine in the afternoon but when you go out in the sun you can clearly see the glitter when u look in a mirror.

  • This foundation was streaky on me. I used a sponge to apply, tried a damp sponge one day, dry sponge another day. Over my forehead, between my eyebrows, it wouldn't absorb. Weird. The colour was too light.

  • I've been meaning to try this foundation but there are so many mixed reviews. I don't have oily skin. But ive heard that it makes you look really shiny?? I don't know?

  • it sounds good for combo skin. i dont have much oil, and liquid foundations work best for me.

  • I just purchased this foundation today...i was kind of hesitant to get it bc I actually went to buy the Revlon Colorstay but then I seen the Revlon Photo Ready had a pump on it so I figured I would get it instead...I can't wait to use it in the morning...i tried a little bit out on my hand and I really love the way it feels on the skin

  • Does the colorstay make your skin dry?.... It kinda makes mine dry but i don't know maybe it was just me. Please let me know

  • Bullcrap, I'm "really pale" and I have the lightest shade but it's too dark. It's not that light.

  • i llooooove this foundation!!! i use this for my photoshoots when i do makeup for models, they look flawless and not washed out in the lighting!

  • it's 30 dollars in australia.

  • @hayyeeekristina have you seen mac prices in australia 35 dollars a lipstick and 48 dollars for foundation >.<

  • @Tibbiful The answer is you never buy MAC products in Australia, always buy from the US :) ALL high end cosmetics are outrageously priced in Aus and I never buy them here.

I wonder how long it will take the cosmetic companies to realise that they do not have a captive market in Aus.

  • @aussiedonna50 Yeah I think that what I'm going to do, do you order from

MAC US store or somewhere else?

    Hopefully not long, its rediculous!

  • Well i have the ColourStay and this one, and i really prefer the ColourStay! I've never mixed them but i will have a go :) I have a few acne scars and blemishes and i think that my photoready has really crap coverage. And is more expensive. I have oily skin and find that it makes it more oily, but works good when i have a clear face :)

  • This the best one so far..blends nicely...but i got the wrong color(005 Natural Beige)..so light..I paid $9.08..I had to mix it with the Revlon Colorstay Toast...it mixed well and less shimmer.. So my problem is that some days my skin is light and other days its darker..then i have days where my face is red...So I think i'm going to just keep this light one and custom make my foundation for everyday use..Im such a dummy because I could of gone to CVS and got buy one get one free or 50%..lol!!

  • I like ColorStay better.

I hate how I sparkle in the light, like Edward Cullen when I wear Photo Ready.

Everyone accuses me of being a vampire, sheesh.

  • @DontEvenFrontItManx3 when you mix the colorstay and photoready, do you get a white cast in pictures? thanks (:

  • @DontEvenFrontItManx3 then you shouldn't try the revlon colorstay aqua, i've heard it has the same effect

  • how good is the coverage? i have a few scars on my face so i like it to be able to cover it and cover the colour :) please write back!:)

  • Does it stay on all day, without putting heaps on?

  • I LOVE this foundation!!! my favorite :)

  • Actually the lightest shade is 002 Vanilla.

    I used shell and vanilla.

But I dont like it anymore would not reccomend it at all!

  • @TheLipglossLove Ivory is the lightest shade

  • @TheLipglossLove

    oh, why is that?

  • Thats interesting...

i bought it and i thought it was the worst thing ever.

    so grainy and unnatural...just awful

terribly matte...idk just horrible, i want my 20$ back

perhaps its because i bought the lightest shade idk

  • If your skin tends to be dry and dull looking, go with the Photo Ready; If your skin can appear oily, go with the Colorstay @Thefansful1 @AshleyMC437 I got this from her site (in description)

  • good for oily skin?

  • @TheCMS333 NO! If you have oily skin go for Revlon ColorStay in Oily to combination it should have a Matte cap where as the dry skin one will be shiny. Or stry Rimmel London Stay Matte. Great for oily skin I dont really get the matte look from it but it doesnt make my skin look as oily.

  • is this foundation good for sensitive skin?

  • i couldn't believe that you bought it like 7+ - buy 1 get 1 free . in my country , it cost me nearly THIRTY DOLLARS !! wooooooowwwwww ~unbelievable , huuhuu

  • when i used colorstay my skin broke out. do you think photo ready would too?

  • Is this good for dry combination skinn??? ;D

  • it has glow or shimmer?

  • @Mimieq8 yeah, tiny little shimmers

  • I have a ques. I ran out of mac foundation so I got this one..I've tried applying it with my fingers, sponge and macs 190 brush but no matter what foundation I use I have dry flakey patches in the middle of my eyebrows and my chin, but my skin is kinda oily, or combo I guess. Do you have any advice? I tried moisterizers and primers but nothing works.

  • i do that as well, but i use the photo ready liquid with the colorstay powder and it doesn't apear oily in my photos, and i have oily skin

  • @horselover4eva1682 There's no such thing as part albino.

    You're either albino or not.

  • @fappyyplox dude, her dad could be albino and her mom not.. wtf would you call that?

  • @31Morganc Being albino isn't a trait like skin color or hair color.

Being albino, is actually a screw up in the pigments coloring skin eyes and hair.

It's also a recessive trait, and very rare. It's somewhat like dwarfism. If one of your parents is a dwarf you're either a dwarf or not.

So, if someone's mom is albino and someone's dad isn't, the child is most likely not going to be albino due to the rarity and the recess of the trait.

I know what I'm talking about kthxbai.

  • thank you very much :) I had the colorstay but my bottle is empty^^ the lightest color (buff) was too dark for me, I always mixed it with a primer (yves rocher) it worked okay. tomorrow I think I will go and get the photo ready, I'm feeling more like a glow and I hope the lightest one is better for me^^

  • you talk sexy

  • I mix the photo ready and colurstay together as well. It's so odd, I don't love either of these foundations separately but when I mix them together it beats any other single foundation I've tried. Amazing.

  • @Veronikam11 really....really.....u went out of ur way to put the same rude-ass comment on 2 of her videos! just don't be a bitchy person and just don't watch them then... thats fine if u don't like her makeup cuz it's not ur style....just dont be rude about it...and just so u know she's lost weight, i think she looks great!

  • does Shell color is for yellow skin tone?

  • @84valentinab that's the one i just got today! i think Shell would be for more whiter skin, cause i'm white lol

  • hi! are the shades of the photoready similar to the shades of the colorstay? i know they have the same names but are the colors exactly the same??

  • @bummed82386 No, they aren't. I made that mistake. It seem the photo ready is lighter than colourstay. At least with the my shade. I just matched the photo ready to the colourstay I had been using and it was a shade lighter. I don't know if it is that way with all of them but be sure to check it out instead of just buying it based on the name/number :)

  • Thanks for this info b/c I've really been thinking about trying this foundation for awhile. I'm NC50 in MAC Studio Fluid (this is the shade that I use in the summer, but get a shade lighter for winter) and wonder should I try Carmel or one shade darker in the Revlon? If you could give me a suggestion, I would really appreciate it :0)

  • I love this foundation!!! I tried the Makeup Forever because I thought since it costs so much more, I'd like it better. Nope!!! I love this drugstore foundation, which is a big shock for me. I have skin that is combination with dry areas that will flake with other foundations. This does not flake and evens my skin out beautifully.

  • I mix my photoready and colorstay together, they both compliment each other.

  • @shaz809 I want to mix them both too, but isit hard to get a tiny amount out of the colorstay?

  • @bublieeemmaaaaxx You mean over the packaging? I mix half photoready and half colorstay in an emply squeezy tube I get cheap from the drugstore...saves time mixing the two of them every day.

  • got me one bottle of it.. i think it's nice :) (shell)

mine's is 550 baht, that is approximately $18.00 ans something cents

  • got me one bottle of it.. i think it's nice :) (shell)

  • im a nc25 in mac but it comes out a little bit too yellow on me. would you say that i should use a medium beige, cool beige or golden beige when it comes to the revlon foundation?

  • @marfusza why not try NW25 in mac?

  • is this foundation good for oily skin?

  • @AshleyMC437 no which sucks, :( it comes off in the most oily sections of your face within a hour or 2

  • @laurenxxlouise really =( darn

  • @laurenxxlouise....i tried revlon colorstay and it keeps my skin really matte and stays on for a long time...so ima stick to this :)

  • @AshleyMC437 thats really good then for you then :) would be nice if it was good for me.

  • @AshleyMC437 i wouldnt say it is cuz it can get pretty oily but i mean u can try it cz i dont like it with dry skin cuz the light reflectors show dry spots

  • @AshleyMC437 YES!!! IT WAS FOR MINE lol

  • @AshleyMC437

it actually not oily for me but i have oily skin :D

  • @AshleyMC437 Yes!

Although, I woudn't apply a lot of it unless you get the powder that comes with it too.

  • @AshleyMC437 no

  • @AshleyMC437 yes, its oil free

  • @AshleyMC437 I have it and I think it's actually better for oily skin than dry skin :)

  • @AshleyMC437 propably not coz it gives a dewy finish.. i think it gets more matte if you apply matifying primer and powder :)

  • @AshleyMC437 no.

  • @AshleyMC437 I have oily skin and this works well. It actually tends to stay fresh longer thoughout the day better than some other oil-controlling foundations :)

  • @MsBottom2top I tried it and it was horrible...i mean if u like glitter on ur face than i recommend it but i dont like lookin like a disco ball...i did not get that "glow"

  • @AshleyMC437 i personally think that its not really good for oily skincuz it has shimmer to it. even wen i set it with matte powder, my face still looks shimmery. but its not up to anyone, its up to u whether u want to buy it or not. im just giving u my opinion. =)

  • @AshleyMC437 i personally think that its not really good for oily skin cuz it has shimmer to it. even wen i set it with matte powder, my face still looks shimmery. but its not up to anyone, its up to u whether u want to buy it or not. im just giving u my opinion. =)

  • @AshleyMC437

I was wondering the same thing because the area in my T-zone gets really oily but the rest of my face stays pretty dry.

Maybe apply only a little bit to the areas you want to cover

Maybe a dime-sized amount and use that to cover your face?

That's what I was going to do.

  • You fidget and move around way too much. Its distracting to watch your videos. However you do givve great reviews.

  • i hated this foundation. loll.. what did you apply it with? im using a regular foundation brush and i feel like its a bit thick. i dont like the shimmer either... and i have fairly nice skin, but it made my face look dry :|

  • i recently just bought it this is helpful

  • If you appply a translucent powder after applying the foundation do you think this would help in relation to photograhs?

  • Thank you revlon for making kick ass products. This is the best over the counter foundation EVER (so far). Round of applause!

  • @lovestacy2 i sooo agree

  • i paid 3 dollars for a brand new one today at my local swapmeet ahah

  • I use NYC translucent powder, it costs under 3 dollars and I swear it is better than HD powder, which changes the texture of the foundation.

  • @sarahashleigh87 r u sure??

  • your so beautiful

  • i like your highlights

  • which color shade did you get?

  • I love love love this product, I have oily skin with acne scars and it does kind of make my skin a tad oily on my nose (my most oily part of my face) but that fixed right up when I set it with powder, I love the pearly glow it gives me and it has a great coverage.

  • I honestly HATED this product. If you have acne prone skin and oily skin, this is NOT a good foundation. Trust me. I hope i can exachange it for the Revlon colorstay. I LOVE that foundation.

  • what foundation do you recomend for photos?- Thanks :)

  • did u get the dry skin one or combination oily??

  • omg i bought the lightest shade and it literally came out white i love the way it looks but it is way too pale so i will prolly have to go pick up the next color up but i love how flawless it makes my skin look!!!

  • wow! thanks!! and by the way, youre really pretty (:

  • I have moderate to light acne and some redness. will this give me enough coverage?

  • @AlmightyOwl yes it will. this covers like nothing!

  • @AlmightyOwl I have light acne and bad scars and it covers it nicely.

  • how does this make you look when you take flash photography? thanks.

  • What is the eyeshadow the you have in this video?.....I love pink and that eyeshadow is BEUTIFUL!!!!What is the name plzz....:o)
