  • Hi, over this would I just play all my F major scales?

  • @BDagys not...look in the video description

  • @dj0431 I'm working at this project:probably there will be one zip file freely downloadable and one bigger collection with new material to purchase...stay tuned !!!

  • Loved every second of it!!! Thanks Again.

  • @chrisplays thanks

  • Lol you guys changed language near the end of the discussion 0.o

    Cool backing track dude!

Frank Gambale teaches ideas like this. =)

  • LOL...this is why I discover that he is Italian like me after some time...hahaha!

Thanks so much for your comment!

  • oooh, those are the "slash" chords...ok, got it.

and what for the Lydian? Same progression with Eb as bass note?

  • I don't get it...could you make an example?

You have a normal A chord in Ionian, I guess. what for Mixolydian and Lydian?

  • slash chords are a little completx topic:a A Ionian chord progression, for example, can be this:A (for the I chord) D/A (F triad over a A bass for the IV chord) then E/A (E triad over A bass for the V chord)

  • sorry I mean D/A is D triad over A bass,of course!

  • emh...what are the different bass notes? I mean; for the Lydian mode, for example.

    A becomes Aadd#11?

  • not...is very different:the bass note is the same througth the 2 chords, the upper triads are changing (there are 2 slash chords here)

  • Thank you very much! I am just starting to check out the different modes and this is a great help!

    5*

  • thanks for your comment

  • whats the difference between the chords?

  • they are all slash chords (major triads over different bass notes)

  • love locrian

  • Locrian is hard to play over....the best impro over Locrian is from Frank Gambale video Modes no more mystery, imho

  • many many thanks for uploading and making this. i'll be back often.

  • Its called parallel modes as opposed to derivative modes(derived from a diatonic scale)

  • check out joe satriani for his lesson on modes

  • This is the best thing EVER!~ Helps me sooo much for practicing my modes... thank you

  • Cool stuff, thanks for sharing!
