  • Who were you calling to let them know about the incident?

  • The local news media. Every Department should keep them informed. They can be your best friend when you need them. Also helps a ton to have them let people know the roadway is going to be shut down. Takes a ton of traffic off your hands with a couple of small phone calls.

  • Ah. Gotcha. Thanks! I see what you doing. Here in Atlanta, they usually listen to the scanners and jump on "good calls". But you are right. But on the other hand, people hear of an incident, they go right to the crash or fire or whatever it is. Just to be nosey.

  • @JASON8502

if your heading to another town is it really in your authority to alert the media?

im not being sarcastic im just asking a question out of curiosity, thanks ahead of time for the answer :D

  • @firedude201234 If they haven't done it then somebody has to so yes. I would rather people know about the situation and be told ahead of time to stay away from it than have a million people try to come that way not knowing.

  • @JASON8502

makes sense but what about radioing the other town and ask them for permission? i dont know im just thinking it through lol

  • @firedude201234 The other town is somebody we are automatic aid with and we work well enough together to do things like that for each other if one is busy.

  • That is an insane amount of distance to cover, you left out the first minute or so after you left your house before you started filming so that's about 21 minutes of response time. I thought I live out in the boonies here in PA but you've got me beat.

  • Keep in mind that this was in another Departments District. We responded to assist them due to the type of call. Also, I had to go the long way since they were on the other side and nobody was on the side I was on.

  • Right, so you had to take the long way around to get to the other side of the incident. Gotcha.

  • 6:36 Id have called the county with a plate number and advised failure to yield to emergency vehicle. I've done it in the past. And with your video proof.......

  • Wow. Talk about crossing the fire district. Just how big is your district?

  • 75 square miles

  • do you think you could do a little demo of car 8502? and nice videos

  • I have it on here, just search through my videos

  • what an asshole @ 6:36

  • You said it
