@nikthepilot you should only use flap settings that are designed for take off. full flaps are not designed for take off. i know what you are thinking, the more flaps the shorter the take off run right? wrong. this only works with take off flap settings specific to each aircraft.

good rule of thumb, first 50% of flaps = greater increase in lift than drag; last 50% of flaps = greater increase in drag than lift
