Eaton really does look bigger than 7'4". Must be the wingspan or something. Ilgauskas and Rik Smits are basically the same height but don't look as massive. I remember Eaton playing against Manute Bol, and they looked much closer in height.

Agree. When I use to watch him play during his hey day, I a;ways felt the same. I've seem him stand next a couple of guys that are listed at 7'5" and he stood taller than them. I think that Eaton really stood the same height as Shawn Bradley.

So I am pretty sure Eaton's height was under exaggerated (which is the exact opposite of most players). Another reason he might have looked so tall is because he has broad square high shoulders. I have refrigerator-box like shoulders which make me look taller than I actually am. Also, I've seen pics of Eaton and HE LOOKED ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE AND TOWERING. More so than somebody who's 'only' 7,4". I wonder what his wingspan is?

I'd say Rodman is 6'7", 6'7.5" with sneakers, trust me even half an inch makes a difference, but he definitely wasn't anything shorter. Kobe says he's 6'5" with sneakers on, McGrady is 6'8", Eaton is taller than 7'3"(look at him next to Manute Bol who was nearly 7'8")

Not quite, Eaton would pin balls against the backboard without jumping since he had long arms, but not the rim. The only guy I know of that plays basketball that can dunk without jumping is 7'9" Sun Ming Ming
