Hey, can someone explain me the diversity between this song and the same one on Coldplay's official ''Album Sampler Side A''.MMIX over there sounds like it has the parts of Every Teardrop Is Waterfall, and here it's just a straight empty melody...

@MrJasonmaradiaga this is just the intro for "every teardrop is a waterfall" in the album it comes right before it, so when you are listening to it .. it sounds like the intro because its starts right away after this one ends. This also happens on "hurts like heaven" it has "mylo xyloto" as intro as a different track at the beginning

Not a huge coldplay fan, but from all the post's I see people are confused. If I were to guess what it means, it might be an anagram, usually cause roman numerals aren't written with periods betwixt the letters. Just thought I would give my 2 cents.

I hate the fact that MMIX and A Hopeful Transmission are actually an entire song.. same goes for MyloXyloto but at least that one makes more sense to be a track. It kinda makes Coldplay seem lazy in this album :'(

I love the fact this is a seperate track.

It seems Viva la Vida was trying to make everything into one track (e.g. double tracks), whilst Mylo Xyloto is trying to make everything seperate tracks. cool.

MMIX in Roman Numerals=2009. 2009 was the year of Viva La Vida. MX in Roman Numerals=1010, which is for this purpose equal to 2000, which was when they had their first number one single "Yellow." So basically, this song is all about transitions, from the past to the band's future. Also, this song acts as an intro/transition to Every Teardrop is a Waterfall, which is the defining single of the album.

Why, why whyyyyyyy does NO ONE understand. Moving to Mars is not on Mylo Xyloto, because it is on the E.P. If they put it on this album no one would have reason to buy the E.P. And for all those who are confused about the intros, I on the other hand actually love them being separate. I love just buzzing around my house with the CD in my CD player, and having it move from song to next so smoothly, so you guys could always just delete M.M.I.X. and Mylo Xyloto, then they won't interfere. :)
