Lovely critters;they're obviously littermates,otherwise they wouldn't be so friendly/playful with each other. I tried to trap the related Long-tailed weasel but with no success. I even used rabbit as bait; they still wouldn't take it. Maybe they smelled my ferrets& opossum? I would LUV to own a British/New Zealand stoat but the only thing they have available is the Egyptian weasel-sort of a giant version of the Least/common weasel...Oh well...

National Geographic recently had an article, and declared that the weasel has the greatest bite and jaw strength of any mammal on earth with proportion to it's body size. They are able to chomp down on the spines of rabbits to make the kill, no strangulation needed, just SNAP. Amazing.

my cat killed a hawk this summer, killed 2 huge rabbits that i know of, fought many stray cats (and won) and fought a beast of a racoon. the racoon beat him up really bad (all 4 paws were bit and he had scratches all over his face and body but mostly his ego was hurt) then a couple days later he was back to normal fightin strays

My husband and son found a momma and 4 babies in an old car in our back yard they were moving. They picked them up by the tail with pliers so they wouldn't get bit and took them back to where the car was sitting.
