  • When you actually think of the fact that there was literally NOTHING in this Age but the clothes on his back when he got there, the things he built is absolutely MIND-BLOWING! He sort-of deserved to be free just for that, even if he was a psychopath...

  • do they use realz ppl in the game?

    if, its awesome

  • @ToaSirian Yes, it's LIVE integration programming used in Myst IV, I believe, but they used live actors for all the first 4 games.

  • One of the most powerful scenes in the game; possibly what pushed him beyond redemption. I liked the pathos.

(Fridge logic, though: Why did he spend years building his levitator to get to the nearest island to find this out, instead of using that same rope to climb down his own island? Or was it too dangerous to go through the cloud layer unexposed?)

  • he could just...climb back up.

  • @Posterdude95 That wasn't exactly his problem :)

  • See what happens when you spend 10 years on a plan instead of 20.

  • I AM SERIOUS ! SIRRUS BISNIZZ

  • Love you Sirrus! *blows kiss* :P

  • I've always thought Sirrus was the meanest of the two brothers, Achenar was just mad, Sirrus was a sociopath

  • This guy scared the crap out of me in game ;p

  • What I want to know is is why his clothes are still in such good shape after "years."

  • @pisoprano He made sophisticated flying machines, and yet you don't think he could make clothes?

  • I really wish Sirrus hadn't been so evil. I wish they could have lived happily ever after. Just imagine them a happy family where they're all together. =(

For the record, I would have chosen Spire too. I love the starry expanse and the scientific beckoning & the majestic architecture. I hate the heat and love the night.

Plus my fav color is green. Lol

  • He needs some help from Serious Sam

  • Sirrus looks like my friend Gildevin!

  • When I first played the game and saw Sirrus walk to the ledge, I thought he was going to jump for a second! He just had this dead look in his eyes like he'd lost all hope.

  • At :50 I thought of Jean Baptiste Emmanuel Zorg's "..very disappointed!!!" line.

  • Im having a problem with the demo, everything works fine but when I get to the gameplay I get a gray screen with my cursor in the middle, Im running windows xp, I looked on both the myst forums and didnt really find anything useful. I have tried setting compatibility mode, any suggestions?

  • @joeylegacy2000 Did you ever fix this?

  • @joeylegacy2000 Just found out it's the Depth of Field option that needs disabled. Demo works now.

  • I am Sirrus... and it's time to get SERIOUS!!!

  • @Mikemc hahahahaa

  • because he has ROCK POWAH (that's actually what happens )

  • heh, is it just me, or dose he just lie down on the floor of the greenscreen just outside of cam ranger in the beginning? =P looks funny. Sirrus is cool, but i liked Achenar the best.

  • hes dead now >:)

  • All right Atrus!

  • I could have sworn he was going to say, "I am Sirrus, HEAR ME ROAR!" lol. I don't like Sirrus at all so I was slightly tickled at his outrage and pain... =]

  • Sirrus is what a tyrant is before he gains an empire. He needs to be fake and slick and sleazy until he has control and then he can drop the pretense and be a true mastermind.

My second favorite villain next to Saavedro.

  • Oh, I guess he's seriously offended=)

  • Poor Sirrus :(

  • it's too bad he wasn't in a more organic age like Achenar. Then maybe he wouldn't be as evil.

  • Well keep in mind Haven and Spire were made to satisfy each of the brothers' needs...Achenar was more of a hunter and horticulturist whereas Sirrus was a scientist, and many opputunities go before him in Spire with all dose pweddy fwoating rocks

  • No, Atrus wrote those two prison ages to satisfy those characteristics...adventure in Haven, treasure in Spire. They weren't written catered towards the boys, just those specific characteristics. Atrus was shocked to find that they had trapped themselves in those Ages.

I do think that Spire was a very poor prison age, though.

  • Really? I thought that Atrus had actually put the boys in there after he destroyed the two books in the original Myst.

  • In Myst, Atrus wrote the 2 prison ages to protect his library, but he didn't expect that his sons were the culprits. If you remember in Myst, if you put all the pages back into the red or blue books, you'd free the person trapped inside and take their place. So they were there before Atrus burnt them. If you think about it, they probably compared the 2 books, then chose the one they wanted.

  • > Well keep in mind Haven and Spire were made

    > to satisfy each of the brothers'

    > needs...Achenar was more of a hunter and

    > horticulturist whereas Sirrus was a

    > scientist, and many opputunities go before

    > rocks

And yet, Haven's unique and small ecological system eventually got Achenar to come to terms with nature and transform from a killer into some kind of gamekeeper. I don't see how Spire could have provoked the same thing in Sirrus...

  • wow how did you get these clips without that memory flashing around the border? that's cool!

  • He did it by not using a crappy Hypercam
