To us Big 10 School's (Illinois, others) tradition is very important. The loss of your storied rivialy with Nebraska gave alot of us pause. Your basketball games were epic, and the fact your whole states were into such neighboring competition was so great. Sorry football seems to be king, because if not Kansas would be joining the Big Ten also. Hopefully, the Big Ten can work out away to restart the tradition for Nebraska and Kansas real soon. Hopefully, we'll have a trophy bucket made for it.

It feels great to be in a conference where we have received nothing but the up most respect. Yep, all the fellow Jayhawks I know just hope we end up somewhere halfway decent. some want the pac-12 or Big East. i just think that a lot of this realignment talk is insane, though. can you imagine oklahoma state in the pac-12? Stillwater, OK is really damn far from Washington state. This will ruin the fan experience for many schools. Heck....TCU & USF in the Big East is silly in itself....

@kuwinsitall This Husker will miss fans like you. I also miss the Big 8 but the Big 12 was not the Big 6 or Big 8. The Big 12 screwed themselves from the start when they didn't respect the old Nebraska-Oklahoma rivalry and Colorado couldn't replace the Sooners. The Big 12 was seen as a Texas sized rip-off for Nebraska. The Jayhawks have played the Huskers since 1892 and since 1906, was the longest uninterrupted rivalry in college football. Of course, we have to like your coach. ;<).

That's true, the NU-OU game was a great matchup every year. I hope KU doesn't end up anywhere near UT after this is over, they're toxic. How bout you put in a good word for us up in B1G country? lol. I just hope we end up somewhere that's stable and not a conference full of leftovers. No one wants to join the Mountain West as it is right now but it might wind up stronger than the Big XII, all the Big XII needs is for the Sooners to get fed up with the Horns. Like you said, winding up anywhere away from Texas can't be all bad. None of us want to pay to watch Bevo shit on TV every week.

Nebraska football has roots in Ohio and Michigan, it feels like we have come home. The

Big 10 knows what they are getting and the Huskers have alot of respect for Big10 teams as well. We needed the Big 10 and vice-versa. Now for those in other football fans that say the Big10 is a weak confrence... I think not!
