I had an h3, eventually sold it for a Super Duty with a lift and mud tires. The H3 would do that before the Super Duty because it looks as if that hole is too small for me to turn a big truck in. Great job driving through it. I love those tires; what kind are they?
@managebi Thats funny... I've been in water, and stopped in it, that was over the top of my front tires and the air box was completely dry when I got out in my h3. The stock airbox is designed for fording 3ft of water; pretty impressive if I do say so myself.
Props to you man! I wouldn't take an essentially brand new rig through Frog Hole...Looks lower than normal, but he still gave it a go guys...It's not a beater crawler, this is a DD rig, so my hat off to you. I'm a Zuk guy, but the H3s are pretty cool rigs...Best out of the Hummer range (excluding the H1 of course)..
Impressive. Seeing videos like this make think that I will be ok with that inline5. it looks to have plenty of power and the one i test drove has plenty of get up and go for me.
Cool, good job. Does kind of matter though :) its about 2 foot lower then normal. ive had my ass went going through there and i was on 4's with the floor about 4 foot off the ground...
Hey man, I'm very interested in purchasing a H3. In the reviews the 5 cylinder is bashed quite a bit, how are the offroad capabilities in your opinion?

I don't think he made it even at that low of water level...the vid looks like he got stuck at the end, then its edited with an angle that would hide a winch-out recovery...not to mention, as previously stated, the damn hole only has 6" of water in it...nice try. Hmmph...H3...frog hole...yea right!
person filming paused it, I did have to back up and change my line, as for the water level, what difference does it make! it's all the mud at the bottom that makes it difficult not the water.
Im with you on this one. Not only was it considerably lower than the other 10 videos you see on the internet of it, but the pause at the end when he stops moving leaves much to the imagination
put some real tires on it and maybe ul be good

If the water is 2 inches deeper, you would get hydrolocked.Something wrong with the stock air intake system design, way too low.
So,a snorkle on h3 is a must.

@james7845 So he paused the video? He paused the video to help you get out because you were stuck. Nice try. I agree with FC2TurboMSS

i gotta be honest, ive seen that hole with more water in it, but congrats for tackling it the way it was.

Same here. I've seen guys on 40s where you couldn't even see the tires. Congrats on going through Frog Hole when it was dried up...

Is that V6 or V8 under neat hood?
4x4Daddy 4 years ago
The h3 doesn't come with a v6. Just an inline 5 (which this truck has) or you can get the alpha option which comes with a V8

Kool and thanks for answer my question.
4x4Daddy 3 years ago
No problem, It's nice to see intelligent questions about the vehicles as opposed to people making stupid comments about them...
Drewdick8675309 3 years ago
Indeed. I hoping find used Hummer H3 someday in future because I wants one lol.
