when you do the downstroke you hit the head and the rim at the same time... yes you could call it a rimshot but of course you cant hit that hard. (but i give no guarantee!
I don't also know how to perform this correct, but I think that one of the main goals on the long run is that your snare rim doesn't make a clicking sound when doing this.
It can be done, Johnny Rabb ofc has some pretty good instructions to go with it.
make the end of the stick more central, it needs to be even both sides

you need to improve the grip.

this is more like a one handed roll
what you want is one hit up
then when hit down
but im sure you got it by now, youre a great drummer

theres many ways to blast beat
this is a way so do like a one handed roll but cheatin
im not complaining ...its aimed at other people who commented

Im pretty sure every really good drummer that does blast beats doesnt use the rim.
atleast no one ive ever seen.
usually they just bounce the stick using their ring finger and pinkie finger.
good vid though

"and after a while your arms just die =O"
yes thats right, i got the same problem!
creamer88 4 years ago
Ive never seen this technique before
im not really big on blasting though,
I usually just go for it using just my finger to move the stick
i can do it pretty fast, but still not at fast as you ;D
and after a while your arms just die =O

very good. you know where you keep flicking your hand to vibrate the end of the stick to the drum,
keep the flicking motion of your hand at a steady beat.
Other than that it was brilliant.
I love the finish.
you know at the end, did you drop the drumstick on purpose?
