@lovelyprittygirl Vedas say??? Have you even bothered to read Vedas?? Vedas have no mention of any Ram or any other God that is worshiped today by so-called Hindus. Vedas never speak of idol worship nor prioritize temples and pilgrimages. Vedas & Upanishads speak of impersonal Self (atman) and conscious self (Brahman) and doesn't give any importance to Gods and God-incarnates.
Ram is first mentioned in Ramayan and later popularized in Puranas which were written 2 millenniums after Vedas.

@SANATANDHARAM01 Firstly, neither Vedas nor any other Shruti speaks of the theory of Avatars. In Vedas, Vishnu is a minor deity, secondary to Indra. There is no God in Vedas. Vedas have 33 gods, but no God. This theory of Vishnu, the Supreme God taking incarnations cropped up in Puranas. Chandokya Puran mentions of a tribal hero called Krishna who takes lessons of spiritual Self from a Yogi - that's the best mention of Krishna in Upanishads. Ram or any other Avatar has no mention.

All the temples and idols of the prominent Hindu Gods were constructed in medieval age starting from Guptas. You can't find a single temple that dates back before the age of Gupta. Vishnu was the Ishta Deva of Gupta dynasty and they popularized Vishnu worship and turned him from a minor Vedic deity to a Supreme God.
