the quest for thunderfury starts when you've looted on of the legendary item pieces from Baron Geddon or Garr in MC.

Baron Geddon, drops -> The left piece of prison

Garr , drops -> The right piece of the prison

each one of them should have around 1%-4,5% drop chance.

Binds of the windseeker (both items lef,right) Had 1% chance pre TBC and now it has 3-5% chance to drop also Eye of Sulfuras got the same thing. i got Binding of the Windseeker from the 1st run from Garr the Left one.

Well incase you weren't aware or werent around for most of Vanilla wow, Thunderfury couldn't have been DW b/c 1: it was Unique and 2: It was a MH Weapon pretty much the entire time it was out, Like a patch before TBC it became a 1h Weap
