@coolmanvette1975 I had the whole stock exhaust cut off in front of the factory cat placement and had a pipe welded back, the exhaust dumping around where the back seats are. I had taken the back seats out earlier in the year and I used one of the bolt locations of the seat belts for one of the mounts for the exhaust. So yes, It was cut off right at the factory Y.
Dynomax makes a good product. It is a race muffler, thats why there is nothing to it. You don't have a whipple'd cobra, and who would pay for the borla name on just a race muffler? Dynomax is fine, instead of saying everything is goat piss how about you tell us a legit reason why Dynomax is junk?
I have the same setup 3 inch y pipe no cats,single dynomax race bullet duped befor axle...but mine has long tubes....I like how its quiet at idle. mine is too then when yo romp it its hella loud.
It doesn't need new plugs. And yes, the exhaust stops right at the rear axle. There is a pipe that comes off the muffler pointed to the ground AKA a turndown. It reasonates the sound every direction from under the car compared to the exhaust pointed out the back. Plus it makes it so I won't die of my cabin filling with carbon monoxide. :D
