Wow, she was really so low on that double pike dismount. I don't know how she got it around like she did, but mad props to her for doing so and making it look like she didn't struggle on it. I love the smile after the front through to double twist. Such a cute routine.

@ch0c0nic0le Well JYY fell. Podium wasn't fair though. Shawn should have had her vault devalued. She shouldn't even have been on the podium... what a gift. Yeah, Nastia was overscored on floor, but she had I think something like 6 tenths between her and Shawn, which is HUGE. Even if she were 3 or so tenths overscored on floor, she still would have won.

1 1/2 back - 0.0. Triple - 0.1- pike down- 0.2 chest. 0.1 for full in- legs slightly seperated. Ring leap - 0.0- Tour Jete- 0.1- lacked height. Triple spin - 0.0. 2 1/2- 0.1 step. 0.1 legs. Double twist- 0.1. Double pike- 0.2- lack of height.

6.3 + 9.0 = 15.300

I agree for the most part but there should be no deduction for legs on any of her twisting passes, as her body shape in all twisting passes is perfect. And no deduction for the double twist. Not only is the step back part of the choreography, a gymnast wouldn't incur a deduction for a step like that in 2008.

I think she should have placed third. Nastia had THE AWESOME FLOOR EXERCISE, but Jiang was a leetle better.

Very good routine, deserved that fourth place spot but not quite good enough for a medal. Great entertainment, love her! She was my favorite from the Chinese team.

Liukin has a lower start value than Yuanyuan's on floor. She crosses her legs and feet on all her landings, she has flat feet, and she hugely separates her legs on her finishing landing! Enough errors and problems? Some Americans seem blind when it come to "their" gymnasts. Chinese have much more grace and class. The even honor Shawn John at their Gymnastics Hall of Fame. Wish American fans know to respect others and have some decent human courteousy. Jiang should win 3rd over Liukin.

A wonderful routine. She should be very proud of a 4th place on floor ! Hope she gets even stronger! Nastia Shawn, and sandra were just a lil better! The results were very fair IMO

Liukin WAS overscored (and I'm a huge fan of Nastia's): she deserved no more than 9.2 for a total of 15.400. Jiang Yuyuan deserved approximately the same for execution but her A score was higher, so she should have finished 3rd.

that's a dance move, and if you've seen the compitition, you should notice the one placed at 3rd had huge leg separations (big enough for the Texas to fit in) and crossed legs through her routine and with A score lower than Yuyuan.

I'm not sure that Jiang Yuyuan can continue until 2012 Lonon Olympics. Though she looks young, Jiang is actually 17 years old. Her 17th birthday was on Nov. 1, 2008.
