Helping the Afgan people to live better lives would help make a much safer and better future for the country and for the West as well. War there is certainly not the Answer its the problem.

Great discussion. Is it just me or was the panel organized by their political stance? Debates like these should be shown on some of the cable networks so people can see how a real panel should be handled and instead of just reaffirming their opinions on the situation here the argument from both sides of the political spectrum.

Miraim was wrong, there was a civil war going on in Afghanistan before the Russians went in. They went in with a siliar mission as the western forces have now, to stbilize the country and keep the government in kabul in control.

The interviewer didn't not tried to guide the debate to a predetermined conclusion and the members chosen Jeremy, Mathew and Jack represented the there different views of Afghanistan, excellent.
