So he's fking dead - So fking what. The twat had it all, money pouring out his ears, a decent wife, fans who doted over him, a great career - EVERYTHING AT HIS DISPOSAL, and what does he go and do? He pisses it up the wall and sticks a rope round his neck. There are a lot of people living in abject poverty in England, people who don't have jobs, people who are scrimping to get by week on week after Labour ruined the economy. People who can't afford to heat their homes, and we should feel sorry??
Never saw him play for us, unfortunately. He was still playing when I first got into football though, and I always liked him because every goal he scored seemed to be a screamer from distance.
Good player, and he came across as a gentleman. I hope his family can recover from such a tragedy. RIP Gary.
R.I.P. mate. Whatever it was that drove you to do it we.may never know it could have only been bad.Maybe it was being alone in the house after being surrounded by friends all day and you felt lonely and it was a wild night- wind rain-the mind can play tricks. You will be missed-one of the good guys.
I was at that game and also his debut in aug 96 when he scored against newcastle who were unveiling £15 million she-ra and were supposed to hammer us but speed and big dunc seen to that. rip GST

Remember this game very well, one of the highlights of the 90's. Even though we were no world beaters then, the football played was WAY more exciting than the mostly dross we endure now. Gary Speed; a fine player, should have been at his boyhood club for many years, think he was let down badly by the club and certain individuals. Such a sad,sad shame. RIP Gary.
One of my favourite players and who represents the british football so well. I was a fan of Gary Speed and always respected this player, and admired him. What a great player he was, he will never been forgotten. He is one of the greatest in the history of the English league. I'm still shocked and so sad about his tragic death. R.I.P. Gary Speed, from a Liverpool fan. YNWA
I was really saddened to learn of the death of Gary Speed. Came across as a decent bloke. A fine footballer, and looked like becoming a very good manager. He played against my team, Rangers, when he was a Leeds United player in the "Battle of Britain" in '92. RIP Gary.
I think it was impossible to not like Gary Speed, growing up he was always a famous premier league name. I'm a Liverpool fan and what a gem of a vid this is now!
