Are the movements really designed by A. Lange & Sohne or do they just finish manufactured movements made by ETA or Lemania or something like that? Because I am sure they are hand assembled and finished but have no clue where the designs of the movements come from.
@JaegerLeMaserati It's pure class. Same with Patek - they look simple but the complications and class make them what they are. Breitling are crap compare to JLC, Lange or Patek (add Vacheron, AP in there as well).
@absolutehail TAG is crap as well, people are tricked into to thinking as JLC would say that they are a real watch and a piece of watchmaking when in reality they house mass produced movements made in a factory
@absolutehail and to the good watches add; Greubel Forsey, Thomas Prescher, Phillipe Dufour, Richard Mille, MB and F, Urwerk, Breguet and Blancpain. Sorry just had to make that comment :)
I think it's just double split... not datograph double split! Anyway, it is an EXCELLENT timepiece that most of us can only dream of wearing on our wrists!
In my personal opinion Patek Phillipe watches are ridiculosly overpriced & I can't find a reason for that. My personal favourites are Jaeger LeCoultre & Vacheron Constantin.
Time to change, a new generation is coming. A. Lange, JLC, Breguet should be the best performance brands in this revolution. And highly appreciate to Independent watchmakers....Chapter 1 and Opus series are masterpieces...
this is for sure among the top movements ever created!!! You should read about it and if you decide to go ahead and read about that movement i suggest you read first about the Piguet Split Chronographs first,so you can appreciate the magnitude of this movement.
Double split eh?? Sounds like breast cleavage and ass crack.

@factionxvt408x all lange movements are 100% in-house, some parts do Vaucher company(also produce parts for RichardMille and springhair for Patek)

This watch is my all time favorite when it comes to high end. But I just have a hard time calling them the best. To me it's still Patek.
