The Bulls in the 90's could easily wipe any team today. I grew up watching the magic of Pippen, Jordan, and Rodman as a kid and have yet to experience the same thrill as watching that team play to this date.

The game was a lot more physical with hand checking, and no defensive 3 second violations. Some coaches had their 7 footers clog the lanes and keep their hands up. Lebron and Wade would get blocked so many times against the mutombos, mournings, olaujuwans, and robinsons of those times. It was harder to drive the lane for jordan and pippen.

@Visionsunhendrix wade vs jordan: wade great defender, still jordan better on both ends. james vs pippen: james better offense, pippen better defense. so you are -of course- right. still, it's not completely ridiculous to ask the question, imo. lebron is physically more gifted than jordan and pippen, which has more importance in 2v2 than 5v5.

@staxstix Great point. 2v2 is a entirely different game. But my friend was just going on about how Jordan wouldn't be able to cover both Wade and Lebron so how would a pairing of Jordan/Pippen win? That's why I laughed because Scottie was a beast at both ends of the court.

Simply one of the best players of all time n the best perimeter defender of all time. Every team needs a scottie pippen remember Jordan didn't win a playoff series until pippen came in the league. There would be no championships without pippen. A great player with no ego is a rarity

You could make a similar video about MJ's defence with the same title 'Ultimate defender'. What you had with MJ and Pippen is the two best defensive players of their era in the same team. When they added Rodman it was almost unfair because then the Bulls had the three best defensive players of their era on the same team, as well as the best offensive and allround player(s).

Pippen can guard him 24/7, longer arms and greater reach, in fact, he is in my honest opinion, a far better player than LeBron James, offensively and deffensively. No hating on LBJ, he's good with his athleticism and raw power, but we're talking skill wise buddy.

In fact, Pippen made a big deal in the 94 season about Phil Jackson setting up a game winning shot for Kukoc instead of him. He wanted that responsibility.
