  • Played the same tune with my band in "89", on bass, keep the energy up, you guys rock. Better than alot of pro bands.

  • drummer needs to lose the intermission stick clicks...turn around and make eye contact. but hey, it's practice. good job

  • Not bad? For a basement band this is pretty fuckin good. Each instrument has many sophisticated parts for this song. To even attempt this song you gotta good handle on your instrument. I wish I was part of that.

  • Battle of the WHAT? It sounds just like a fight. Good job!!

  • definetely...save up some money from ur gigs and buy new cymbals man

  • hmm not bad!

  • The guitar player reminds me of Buddy Holly with his expressions and movement. The song started to fall apart in the solo but still a decent recovery. I don't understand why the drummer is facing backwards unless it to cut down on excessive feedback issues. I have to admit when I watched them before they began to play , I thought I was going to hear a crap cover.....not bad. Better than some other cover bands I've heard.

  • okay but u need a better cymbal set up

  • I don't what kind of douche bag went around spamming the comment ratings but that's pretty pathetic.

  • vocals are pretty good

  • Warms the heart of an old Rush fan... You've got further than I ever did trying to play this great song. Good energy which is the important thing.

  • i bet you guys didn't win

  • the guitar man's face expresions are so funny!

    Great job.

  • yeah,not bad

  • Caught the spirit of the song and that is the best part. Keep that up guys. Very fun to watch from a very old RUSH fan.

  • At about 1:45 they catch a nice groove, they should run with it throughout the song. give it some new contours....cool

  • Sucks Monkey Assholes!

  • good job , hard song

  • suck!

  • Well fucking done lads!

    I liked it very much.

Yeah lots of mistakes... so what the f... dotn pay attention to those who just shit on you. keep on going.

  • awesome, i love this song.

  • Not bad.

  • good bass and drums. dont care much for the guitar.. sounds a littly scratchy good playing but you may wanna get a better amp or set it to some other sound.nice try on the singing. lol geddy has such a unique voice i dont think there are that many who could copy his voice, but you came pretty close.newyays gj guys

  • Great cover, the guitar doesn't sound that good though, great music deserves to be played with great equipment. How did the contest go?

  • Yeah, as discussed above the recording situation wasn't the best, and really the video was made originally just to screw around, long before I'd ever even heard of youtube.

Believe me if I had the money to be playing through a rig like Big Al himself I would, but for the moment as a starving student I'm unfortunately stuck on a Mexican Strat with everything stock, not exactly a dream machine.

Elitist LP to come soon hopefully, plus Simon's white epi 1275 double neck!

  • Dont quit your day job(s), whatever that is.

  • Sure thing dude, I'll also check out your vids while I'm at it... oh wait, nevermind, you still haven't blessed youtube with your own musicianship.

Oh and a day job is a job you work at during the day, unless you wanted to say 'whatever that may be,' like someone who speaks English like a real person.

    What a n00b.

  • Lead vocals are OK, but Geddy Lee is difficult to do. Try using a falsetto when you're straining. Otherwise well done!

  • your bassist is damn good. my respects to him. your singer is making a great effort to sound like Geddy, but he's not really thrilling me. you guys are great though.

  • Good job end of story,

  • I think it was great...keep it up.

  • I'm the guitarist, to respond to some comments: The audio is from the camera mic which didn't get much guitar cause I was in front of the amp, which was in fact Simon's amp I used cause my real amp wasn't working, and his is either full on distortion or nothing (live vid has better guitar sound, Fender HotRod deluxe with Ibanez tube screamer). Also Simon was using a big Fender Bassman that was right next to the camera. Everyone says the same thing for Ben on vox, bless his heart he tried though.

  • man not to be a big ol jerk.... but there are only a talented few whom can capture Geddy Lee's voice. unfortunetely, your frontman in not one of those talented few. But defenetely a great preformanc on the instomental side!=)

a little to much bass, it drowned out the guitar

    good job

  • couldn't hear the guitar much, the bass drowned it out almost entirely except for the intro the solo and the outro, plus there was way too much distortion or overdrive on the guitar

  • more cowbell!
