You know what pisses me off? These people who defend such a situation by saying that abroad such things happen. Well, this is Malta..and Malta is a SMALL country. If there is a problem (which there is) on the road ...FIX it permanently. Or we have to get a foreign engineer to go beyond the patching now? This is simply stupid.

I always wondered why the planning authorities give permits for buildings to be built in valleys...valleys are death traps when flooded and crazy are those people who try and cross them (in very bad weather). I guess helicopter pads will soon be permitted on residential houses in Msida, B'Kara and Qormi valleys...I tried to to Uni this am and got stuck as Lija is flooded and the other access routes have idle traffic.

Wow.... Just incredible. I have never seen such an intense storm system over the maltese islands. I feel terrible for those who have suffered due to this storm, however I did manage to snap something that has never been recorded in malta before, Mammatus clouds, Formed due to severe instability in Cumolonimbus Incus Thunderclouds.
