am from Ghana and an Ashanti but believe me,i cant express how fascinated i am with this rich and beautiful culture of ours..if i am givin a 10 lifetime, there is always one thing i will neva do...thats to change the colour of my skin..i love Africa to the core..
This is a wonderful presentation. I have never seen an Adowa dance performed with so many intriguing steps. The children are phenomenal dancers especiallly the little girl. Thanks for the video!
I am in my 30s now but i did exactly what this lil girl is doig from age 4 - 7 (i was hired by event planner all over Ghana and travelled to many places in the Ashanti region for competitionis and won them all) and then my dad made me stop cos he said "Ebe disturb ma disua" - he said it will affect my studies - he banned me from dancing ever again. African parents (just rolled my eyes), Now i cant even dance anymore (i dont think ) - I so regret
The funny thing is every move she makes has a meaning. We are gradually allowing this rich culture to disappear from Ghana. I wish we could be taught by our elders before they die
Cute little girl... she got it

Cute! What's the age of this little girl? She and her boyfriend seem to know exactly the meaning of their dance movements.
