  • Do you add any reflective material to your blazing paint for low light or night time conditions?

  • @Woodenarrows Great idea. Do you know trails with reflective blazes? I'll post to the FTA chapter website and will get back to you if I get a response. I think all FNST blazes are a standard paint but I am not an authority.

  • @carolingwholeo The Pine Mountail Trail Association of Pine Mountain, Georgia uses reflective material in their blazes. Not sure what it is but you can see it's there, especially in the sunlight. Looks like very small beads of something. It may be because the trail(s) are within the F.D. Roosevelt State Park but… it would be a big help to hikers with headlamps etc., even for rescue people looking for lost hikers. BTW, I am a FTA member.
