  • Ugly was so beautiful on the inside, why didn't anybody call the animal rescue service and they would have treated his scabs then he could have a proper full life. RIP Ugly xx

  • I started crying

  • dont care if this story is fake this shit touched me

  • everbody wants love

  • Thank you for this lovely life lesson. If everyone had "Ugly's attitude", then there would be no wars.

  • This is so sad I don't know how some people could be so cruel. Whenever I see a stray cat I always help him regardless of his looks, because I have a cat too and I know that if mine got lost I would want someone to take care of him too! It's nice though that there was a kind soul out there to help Ugly. He is resting in peace in Cat Heaven now!

  • does this cat know a boy named sue?

  • I am happy that Ugly didn't die alone, but I can't help but wonder why he wasn't held until the dogs mauled him. The person knew he was out there for quite some time, after al. I'm just making an observation, not a judgement. Peace.

  • It`s really mentally anguish to see such "uglies". I`m Russian retired only, but my female-friend and me,, we`ll open small shelter for street cats. Many cats were with me during my life. They all were from street. I`m glad, so many kind people are- men and women.

  • never in my life have words ever had a profound effect on me. i cried the whole time watching this. It got the point thru. Please people donate to your local animal agencies, volunteer time to your local shelters. Save the uglies cats and dogs of this world.

  • Beautiful! If everyone gave the "uglies" of the world a chance to show love, the world would be a much better place. RIP Ugly :`(

    Added to our favorites.

  • That was so wonderful !!! I thank you for your kindness to Ugly !!!! when he needed you the most !!!!! God put you there to sooth him for those few moments !!!! You are truly a sweet person and God will bless you.....this made me cry !!!! Thank you for sharing !!!!!!

  • ****tears**** This was the most beautiful tribute I think I've ever heard in my life. ***tears**** Thank you for sharing "ugly's" story with me. I will always remember him and will continually strive to be "ugly" like him. Ugly...may you rest in peace. I know when I get to heaven you'll be there......i will just have to look for the most beautiful cat there. :) **tears** thank you for sharing his story......

  • Poor cat, why didn't animal rescue ever try to help him? :'(

  • @GBlair1

get 501 become a non profit shelter and help take cats in

if you get kennells you can tame a lot of the strays

    I've done it

rehome for money - NEVER for free - keep in mind that people who truly want an animal and CAN take care of it will pay - use that money to help another animal

  • now we still do fosters, with all sorts of different deformities (my kitten "Piglett" has her tail curled across her back!) but i havent found another kitten quite like Peanut... Rest in peace Peanut. and you too, Ugly. :,)

  • This is making me cry... My family fosters animals that dont have homes and have been abandoned... a couple of years ago, we had a litter of kittens that got ringworm, and the littlest one(peanut) had it so bad it took a lot of fur off his head... he was the sweetest little thing on the entire face of the planet... always got bullied away from the food, but so patient otherwise... he died from upper-respitory :(

  • @GBlair1 Your comment touched me. You make a difference to many wee furry peoples lives on a daily basis. Keep up the good work. XX

  • Is this story true, or metaphoracle? If true, you should have saught help from a local animal charity to help him while he was still alive! There are plenty of animal charities out there in directories or online! Shame you left it too late.

  • Tomcats FTW. A friend of mine had a tom that was much the same, but he got fed and loved when he was around. And grew to an old age. In fact he died in my buddies garage, at 13 years old. And when he came back beat to hell, wwe would let him clean himself and then he got the ointment, and would usually eat and sleep for a day, then be off again. And I can see his lineage still in the yards of the community out there in the burbs. He lives on here and there as it were. So does ugly no doubt.

  • Very sad story, I had to cry by reading this. How can people a poor straycat mistreat, that way that he dies

  • i can't help stopping crying, i'm so touched by your story... thank you for taking car of him before he took his last breath xx

  • oh... terribly sad... wonderfully done. i think we can all learn a lot from Ugly. God Bless Him and all of the other animals that are neglected and suffer abuse, maiming and death at our hands. Stand up and do your part, report offenders, volunteer, foster, adopt, anything to help them!!!

  • Thank you for caring; he knew he was loved. We've rescued an "ugly" tom who was shivering and crying at our back door, wanting to come inside. He was pretty battle scarred, but loved to be held & he did NOT want to be outside! The rescue group said he was FIV+ & would have put him down if we didn't take custody of him. I researched FIV. We paid for neutering & brought him back home. He's a BIG "kitten" who needs a forever home with a special person & maybe another young FIV guy to play with.

  • That broke my heart

  • Wow, this video, even though it was just words said a lot to my heart. Animals are totally forgiving, having more compassion even in the deepest pain for humans. We throw them to the curb like garbage. I am happy that I can give a lost dog a home next month. Coffee is going to rescue until I can pick her up. She will be greatly cherished. Animals like these have a place in my heart ♥

  • I've rescued so many "Uglies" that I've lost count (not really as I can recall every little face!). I have a knack for taking in the rejects, the ones no one will deal with. I remember one "ugly"...a ferrel Russian Blue. She was skinny & her fur was clumped & patchy. But you could see she wanted a human badly. So I patiently fed & tended to her. Arvida grew to be a beautiful & HUGE cat. But sadly her years in the wild had given her FiV and she died about 2 years later. I have her ashes.

  • this was a beautiful story...sad , sad he never in his life felt yhe love he so despertly wanted.... but heartwarming he finally felt love before death! thank you for loving him and trying to rescue him...god bless you beautiful ugly ,may you finally be at rest and know you are loved by me too!

  • Such a wonderful video...proving that words CAN make a difference....

Now I too want to be Ugly so much better than beautiful !

  • Oh Ugly I am so sorry I was not there to love you =( I have been sitting here for 10 minutes crying so hard. what type of world do we live in where someone or something reaches out with love and is bullied and thrown out? Rest in Peace Ugly....

  • too bad no one in the nieghbourhood ever took Ugly in to be neutered so he could have lived a better life---No one ever bothered to do that did they....

  • It's amazing how a video with a black background and floating white text can convey so much raw emotion. I hope we all learn a lesson from the story of Ugly the cat, and reach out to help the people -- not just animals -- in need before we regret not doing so when they disappear forever.

  • Gee, is it only me that sees a chance wasted? A chance to help that was not taken? You obviously witnessed the lack of humanity that Ugly was given, if you'd taken that scabby cat to the vet the first time you saw him, he would have loved you and taught you for more than a few moments as he died...he would have curled up on your bed and snuggled and purred for the rest of a happy life, had you cared enough to give him a chance. People, step up! These animals can't heal themselves!

  • Excellent story...Animal abuse needs to be stopped. Be a voice. Hugs and kisses to Patrick the miracle dog

  • This video made me cry really hard. How could people be so cruel? When they are down on their luck, are homeless, and are begging for change, people find it in their hearts to help out. But when an animal is begging for help and just wants to be loved, how can these people set the hose on him, or throw rocks at him? It wasn't his fault he was homeless, and he wanted to be loved so bad that he withstood all that cruelty just so that he would be loved. I hate humans. They all suck.

  • As always, I wish that Ugly would have found a home and that the neighbors did not hose him down and push him away? Where were the other people there to do something? I'm so sorry that this poor baby was mauled by the dogs and lived the last precious moments in pain. God Bless this cat and me his soul live in peace!

  • HOW SAD! I'M GLAD YOU GOT HIM AND HE DIED HAPPY. SOUNDS LIKE HE DESERVED IT AND THAT'S ALL HE EVER WANTED IN LIFE.

  • I'm so confused as to why Ugly's rescuer only gave him love in his last ten minutes and didn't step in earlier to stop his abuse by their neighbours? I know it can be hard to speak out, but Ugly clearly would have made someone a loving pet if they'd given him a home. I'm so glad, though, that he experienced love before he died, bless him.

  • @danuiseult You are so right, I am tired of hearing these stories where people have a chance to make a difference and choose not to. Animals die from indifference.

  • this is heart breaking & beautiful. I shared on FB. and thank you. this should be seen by millions.

  • I now have an agreement with the managers that allows me to feed the homeless cats off the apartment complex grounds. There is no way I can just ignore this kind of suffering and I never will, as long as God blesses me with the ability to help. Every night when I go out with the catfood (in a large bucket), I see the absolute desperation, and gratitude, in the eyes of those poor, sweet cats. They've taught me so much about true love and compassion.

Thank you for making this video.

  • I was recently threatened with eviction, because I can't just turn a blind eye to these homeless cats' suffering. Of course, there have been a very large number of cats here for many decades, long before I arrived, but I have been singled out and villified for caring enough to help these poor animals. My aunt and I have adopted as many as we can and we've found homes for some others, but the problem is so overwhelming and there is such a lack of money to do all that needs to be done.

  • While reading this, I was waiting anxiously...and in anticipation , expecting to SEE an image of this "cat" named UGLY...but by story's end I realized that all I had to do was envision any and every person who has ever been bullied, tormented, abused, made fun of, a victim of neglect, domestic violence or crime or any other form of hatred of injustice...those who but only have in their hearts: unconditional love and forgiveness. To ALL the "uglies" in the world YOU are Beautiful!
