In fact, this predates Guitar Hero by two years. Also, this is not the first device of its kind, but the first affordable (<300 USD) device, prior ones and current alternatives cost thousands.
i wouldn't post a video about a guitar ifyou don't play guitar, chich you oviusly don't because if you can strum the guitar i think most people would be able to work out that you can do picking on it too.

but for some reason when i run it off an adapter instead of batteries, it's constantly palm muted like your touching the metal strip where the bridge should be :S
Really dude If your starting to play the guitar I would throw that thing from fisher price in the bin or keep it as an ornament because you cant bend strings or have a feel of a guitar and sliding or hammer on and pull offs. get your self a cheap electric guitar with a practice amp and search online for tab sheets you will be playing guitar in a day...
the possibilities of this thing in avant garde metal or prog metal is endless
