  • Trouble

    Oh trouble move away

    I have seen your face

and it's too much for me today

  • dieses lied laesst mich jedesmal flach auf den boden legen, denke immer an meine vergangenheit nach......the best ......cat stevens!!!!!!!!!!

  • Elliott Smith Cover:Look it up NOW

  • @KingGigity this songs always makes me think of him!!!!!! great artist! great cover! great song!

  • this song sums up too many of my days

  • Gives me goosebumps, makes me think of my childhood as my dad and I listened to Cat Stevens alot.

I wish I never had to grow up.

  • First heard this tune when I was 5 and it has been stuck in me for 35 years. Can't explain why it just is.

  • My favourite song by Cat Stevens which All cats music is good and the movie Harold and Maude i first seen this.

  • First heard this song in a movie called "A Guide to Recognizing your Saints" it is a good movie and everyone should watch it!!

  • Just type into your youtube search:

    Cat Stevens - Trouble

  • I always think of the movie "Harold and Maude" when i hear this song. This song is at the end of the movie. You can find the clip on youtube. :o)

  • The first time I heard this song was from the movie Harold and Maude and I have liked it ever since,.Cat Stevens put so much feeling in to his music.

  • "One good thing about music when it hits you feel no pain"

  • My interpretation of this song is one of making the decision to leave an extremely emotionally abusive relationship. The verse, 'I have seen you eyes; I can see death disguised hanging on me,' openingly raw. He is one of a kind; rare in the greatness of his talent.

  • when i die, please play this song,

  • this song makes me happy and sad at the same time.

  • @africanbeautyqueen89 i was thinking the same while watching the video and then I scroll down the page, to comment, and you were first one... great!

  • Pretty much the best song ever.

  • i love this song dude - ohhh trouble can't you see? ur eatin my heart away and there's nothing much left of me

  • Great song.I first heard this from the movie Harold and Maude and the song has a lot of sense about it.I wish Cat Stevens was still making this music again.

  • six minutes of pictures played over a three minute song. absolute... genius

  • @crusher49868 No... the song is 6 minutes long. It's 3 minutes of music and 3 minutes of thought.

  • No way to describe this song

  • i was just watching a guide to recognising your saints... and heard this song. i was like :O i fking heard this song when i was younger... I NEED TO KNOW THE NAME... "Troubleeeeee, trouble s..." ok its not trouble lmao

  • This beautiful song makes me feel so sad... and think about everything I left behind... I am still looking for a way to be happy.

  • @rmarchi0 I can totally relate

  • @rmarchi0 The things (and sometimes, people) we leave behind, are not necessary anymore. You've had them while they were necessary to your life's path. Having what you once had would be "TROUBLE" now since you don't need them anymore. Rejoice in the fact there is much still coming to you.New and beautiful people, things to use to comfort you and new places.you've never been before.Life is constantly changing.New adventures, new everything! Even you! You wouldn't want to drink stagnant water..Later

  • @rmarchi0 Happiness, I heard, comes with virtue. When you make an effort to find out what is actually good and evil, I think you'll be on a good path to finding happiness.

  • @rmarchi0 emo

  • best song of cat ever

  • This is a GRAT, GREAT song!

  • This is a GRAT, GREAT song!

  • meeoow

  • i dont listen to music any more as i became more devout in islam, but when influences came from other kids ie having a crush ,getting a bad friend, puberty B.S. ect. I didnt know what to do and still stay in the barriers of my faith, but when i listened to this song 5x times i felt confortable and my faith increased and i stopped all the sketchy things i was doing, Im sure Allah would be fine if music brings me back to my religion

  • @Sheltonrahman That is why religion is BS. I will live my life as I see fit, not within the constraints of some religion that can't even be proven.

  • @VenomStryker assalam alykum wow, i wrote that two months ago, shows how unpopular my favourite songs are, when i forget my religion i go back to doing bad things, im always improving my self ahamdulia . but i can understand that frustration, adhiring to a religion should be about wanting to do it for a healthier life, more spiritual than based forcing your self to spend hours and hours in prayer, Muhammad (pbuh) said "an hour of reflection is better than 70 years of worship".

  • @Sheltonrahman Of course Allah is fine with music bringing you closer to your belief. If you know anything about heaven and God, you'd know there is much rejoicing, song, voices, tambourines, lutes, lyres, flutes, horns, strings. Beautiful music rising to the heavens. Music lifts your soul to rejoice, but, it's your FREE WILL & CHOICE which music does that for you. Enjoy the music, enjoy living and life.Sing from your heart. .Allah loves when we're happy in this life he's given us.. <3 :) Later!

  • @Sheltonrahman

    Without music I would die!

  • listen to this song after a bad day, and feel like you're situation has happened before and you aren't alone and you can get through it :) best sad song evar

  • thnx

  • Love this! Peace!

  • harold and maude

  • c'est l’éternité musicale , le voyage celeste .................vive cat ! avec 03 ou 04 instruments ses propres paroles , sa voix ...........il te fabrique une pop music de première classe

  • The worlds only singing cat !! Here Kitty Kitty kitty !! Eat a mouse for me !!

  • this song kinda just clears my mind.

  • @missdrinkalot13 Well put, does the same for me :)

  • my love of a song

  • Hmm as a 40 year old musician myself, I can say that playing for Joe public gets old. So many people take music too seriously and it drives an artist to drink. Sometimes its even life threatening. Its OK when we're 26 to dodge bullets but at 40 I care a lot more. As an artist I just want to chill the fuck out but people wont let me.

  • @guitaryoder1 Play for yourself, and you'll avoid that stress. Whoever joins you, is there, and whoever isn't, isn't.

  • people need to Stop being ignorant fools why let few extreamist (of any group muslim, christian, what evers) define the whole? Get over it, who cares about the religion of a person most religions are based upon the same foundation. @tabber87 plenty of people kill others don't blame it on one tiny percentage and then generalize it.

  • Great song. The photo which refers to him as Yusuf Islam, nee Cat Stevens is wrong, though; he was born (nee) Steven Demetre Georgiou, but changed his name (the first time) to Cat Stevens.

  • @greatwombat1 - yes a nice song but since we are all correcting others, your use of "nee" is feminine - it should be replaced throughout with "né", the masculine inflection. Elle doit être une chose française, non?

  • Muslims and Christians are one family and ....... that's enough.

  • @Mohdkandari Yeah, a family of ignorant, superstitious bigots who, from time to time, enjoy killing each other and the rest of us.

Cat Stevens (or Yusef Islam) should be praised for many things. His religion is not one of those things.

  • I really don't understand this, Can someone please let me know, why did he turn muslim, all his music when he changed to muslim, is about muslim, and it's really not what good for people who arnt Muslim, help?

  • @KuboYamiMaple

In the mid-70s Stevens was already dissatisfied with the life he was living and was bothered by a mounting a feeling that there must me more out there to life. In 1976 he was drowning off the coast of Malibu, California. He says he shouted, “Oh God! If you save me I will work for you.” He says that right afterward a wave appeared and carried him back to shore. A man of his word he auctioned his instruments for charity and began searching for a way to serve God that fit him.

  • @mtzerhouni Inspiring. Cat Stevens is wonderful

  • I told my family when i pass away that Cat Stevens better be played at my funeral. Couldn't imagine listening to anything as my last song.

  • Every man has his faults, no matter what race or religion, 'he who is without sin let him cast the first stone', important thing is to embrace the good when you hear it and see it and give credit where it's due.

  • Nice job with the pictures. Thank you!

  • Thank you "nrm333" and also yes i hope no one see any trouble. :)

  • holy shit people. i can't believe the things being discussed. how is there even an issue? this song is fucking phenomenal. what else matters?

  • For those who commented on him being Muslim now. This was written and recorded before his conversion.

  • @edselvernel ... and what does that change anyway ?

  • @niconilas It doesn't change anything, just an observation. However I'm not going to pick what songs I listen to based on a person's religion. Don't care if you're a Muslim, Christian, athiest, etc. a good song is a good song.

  • ya and he hates America.

  • @thebailey67 How can One not hateing america ?

  • @niconilas

eh.....hating only their goverment in the shadow?

  • He looks like Seth Rogen (3:13).

  • I love this song. He is so passionate with every song he sings. I wish I grew up in the early 70's because i would have loved to see him perform live. I

  • harold and maude <3

i couldnt have picked a better movie to be filled with his music.

  • Problemas en castellano, pero esto va mas halla, la cancion es terriblemente bella, con todo lo que implica este termino o palabra.

  • HAROLD AND MAUDE!

  • a guide to recognizing your saints!!!!

  • @EmilyJusic

    that's just your opinion

  • his religion doesn't matter. just listen to the music!!!!!

  • @zaneearldufour ajhhhh..okm but he hates America...

  • @thebailey67 how does he hate america?

  • @Godsent31613 How don't you hate america ?

  • shame he's a rag head

  • deep

  • shivers

  • is the remaining 3 minutes for you to sit in contemplation?

  • This song makes me happy. <3

  • "Can't keep it in" caught me but this song also got me stuck. BTW has anyone seen a video of "Can't keep it in"?

  • Only heard this song for the first time last night. It was on the radio early doors around 0200 and it hasn't set me back down since.

  • this song is about addiction?

  • @matthew510ncs I think it is about his time in the hospital with TB, when he wrote many of the songs that were included on his next three albums.

  • Dont tell me , I bet this man is on Americas terrorist list..What a load of Quack ...

  • Yusuf Islam is not Cat Stevens

Yusuf the Islam made death threats how sad the muslims destroyed him

  • @redshirtish No, he didn't. He is a man of peace and was given an award by the Nobel Peace Prize committee.

  • I always tear listening to this..lol

  • Seriously, such a beautiful heartfelt and amazing song.

  • he is singing for someone and he is saying a lot...another pure artist that wanted to be free

  • If you go to Yusuf Islams web page you can read him saying why he has dropped Islam From His Stage Name and that he will not wear islamic clothes or a turban and that he regrets being a conformist to the islamic crowd when he first converted. We are seeing the true Cat Stevens near the end of his life now understand that death threats and islamic fundamentals are anti human and not God he is changing he was great he can be great again

  • @redshirtish No he's not.

And I like your 'subtle' hint at the Muslim religion being 'evil'

I'm Atheist, but go fuck yourself.

I'm sure you're some fucking WASP douche bag who is completely uninformed about even his own religion.

Yusuf Islam is kind and gentle, as are the basis of Muslim faith. Just because there are a few militant Islamic sects does not make the religion evil. There have been Christians more evil than the evilest Muslims.

  • @Dalittheuntouchable Well, not sure about other countries, but the Inquisition lasted for 600 years in Portugal and Spain. It was all done in the name of God...Burning people and burning knowledge( very precious and ancient).

Not talking about the Crusades, The European colonizations,etc...

Evil is not in the religion itself, its in the way Men use the words writen by other men and make them as a divine law....

  • @acuttuca8 In which case nobody has the right to say such offensive words about Islam. It's just as much a peaceful religion as Christianity or Judaism.

Being that Christianity is much larger, it has been open to much more abuse from individuals than Islam or Judaism.

  • Alias Pilot Epi. when Sydney tell Danny the truth about her job. oh memories! :_)

  • The most hauntingly beautiful song that any man has sung.

  • @useahammer agreed

  • Sometimes your faith is in the middle of your trouble waiting for you.

  • can relate to this song too much!Damn cat is foxy!!

  • @OliviAcisner0s he wrote it about being in the hospital for tuberculous , he thought he was going to die, because that's usually what happened when you got TB, and wrote this.

  • @GanjaNinjaBoy get a life I can relate to things even if they are not exactly the same you don't know me so shut up and stick your comments up your ass

  • @OliviAcisner0s COOL BRO =-D

  • Cat Stevens...totally one of a kind

  • Comment removed

  • one of the best songs ever

  • @Janster59

    indeed it is ;)

  • Great movie - and great songs. And here he has one of his most despairing songs while one of his most upbeat and hopeful songs, "If you want to sing out" is paired with it at the end of the movie. The man had range when he was at the top of his game.

  • 2:45 is the end. Not 5:55... (captain obvious is here)

  • Harold and Maude was a success not only for the characters and storyline, but also for the fantastic music by Cat Stevens.

  • I love and have always loved him and his work. You say. "but, he's a muslim!" I say, bfd!

Why deny what is in your heart, what moves your soul? To do otherwise is truly enslavement. That's my take

  • I love and have always loved him and his work. You say. "but, he's a muslim!" I say, bfd!

Why deniy what is in your heart, what moves your soul? To do otherwise is truly enslavement. That's my take

  • He was always spiritual. He had to be to create on this level.

  • I made a video for this song if anyone's interested: watch?v=F7ccbQeQ31I

  • He got weird, but the album this was from is among the best of any singer/songwriter. Why Eddie Vedder would ruin something perfect is a crime against nature.

  • Its been 21 years since i herd this....i knew it then...and she was.....

  • @HHH100 You obviously weren't around in the 60's and 70's, other wise you would know that was the style at the time!! And I don't believe he FOOLED anyone-- I venture to say that you're the one that's fooled right now!!

  • @HHH100 You are an idiot, can't you just appreciate the art and leave the insulting comments out of it?

  • I can listen to this forever

  • Essa música é linda! Puta que pariu!

  • Comments about Islam really don't belong here. Just sit back and enjoy this great music for what it is!

  • I can listen to this over and over again. Great driving song, too.

  • I'm sorry for you deep diver I do not agree !

  • Muslims are soul seekers just like the rest of us !

  • @deepdiver1986

Troll, go and spread your foolishness somewhere else.

  • Perfect........

  • There is so much passion and emotion in Cat Stevens music. He has soul power just like John Lennon.

  • did he sing this to girls when he dumped them?

  • @phantombunny actually he created the song whilst in hospital suffering from TB

  • @mikeyj1993 good to know. It would be funny to sing this song to someone you're dumping though. Trouble, oh trouble, go away.

  • How come I never heard this????? This is a songwriter's dream! This song is perfect.

  • @JustinSage because it was in harold and maude at first, i believe.

    correct me if i'm wrong.

    yeah, it is perfect. :D

  • Awesome song.

  • Matt Anderson check him out if you want a treat. look up Matt Anderson singing I'm On Fire. or Hold Me With Both Hands, or Magnolia. or So Gone Now. amazing under appreciated talen you will be greatful for my suggestion. help me premote the guy if you like him.

  • @Matty6983

Nobody likes him which is why you are "premoting" him.

  • @Matty6983

    Prove it.

  • @ReddFoxx1562

I checked out that Matt Anderson guy who was being "premoted". He is fucking shit.

  • thank you very mutch cat stevens ahhh yusuf elislam

  • Oh damn

    I get chills!!!!!!!

Poor Harold......Maude always looks out for you!

  • He wrote this while he was in hospital convalescing from tuberculosis. Great song, and great songwriter.

  • Actually ppl, this song is also in A Guide To Recognizing my Saints with Robert Downey Jr..That movie was so underrated --I totally implore all to see it!

  • This is too good to be legal. I will e-mail my MEP right away.

  • i love this song so much.

  • The first pic looks JUST like Ashton Coutcher but with a full beard :O!!!!!

  • amazing song.... cat is one of the best!

  • I will always love Cat Stevens!

  • how can 15 people say : don't like?

  • @SachaTheEvilOne Perhaps they like some of those "new" bands that got no soul or things to say and they can´t enjoy real great music.

  • I love Cat Stevens, and I love that he took his light into his best place, which for him, is Islam. For me, it's Buddhism. He didn't let fame and fortune eat him alive. So much life, so much energy in the beginning. amazing that he got to use all of it over many good years.

  • he has a very soothing voice

  • Fucking damn internet full of creeps. I come here to check the song and the goof who posted is making fun of the guy. Get a job, you hater...

  • Personaly I don't care what the mans religion is......he has got serious talent. That is all that should be commented on.

  • great collection of photos, he is very photogenic. and of course he is genius in his music..

  • This is on my top five....

  • Cat Stevens is up there with Leonard Cohen, both God's gifts to the world!

    Roger London

  • I love this song and the fact that you put it up here. You should be slaughtered for putting no sound on the last half of the video - it made me rush around checking my system with panic in my heart. Let's fistfight!?!

  • The of the best historical pictorials of Cat Stevens.

  • this song is absolutely beautiful!

  • @erykahbadu172

    i agree

  • Audhu bilalli minash shaitanir rajim x3

  • One of my all time favorite songs by Cat Stevens...... SO soulful.

  • they just dont write them like this anymore.

  • When you're a kid, I remember really loving going to bed. There was one time where I actually laughed myself to sleep, 'cause I couldn't believe me luck.
